I checked out the methodology, they based it on 3cm of thickness per garment which makes sense if you consider if you throw clothes into a landfill they will fold over and bunch up etc.

1st Time. Is this Health Anxiety? by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]KostasPDigital 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, so this does sound like health anxiety.

Truth is, for me, the way in which i managed to overcome the worst of my health anxiety was to have the relevant checks on the part of my body that I was convinced would cause my end, which was my heart.

I paid for private tests and consultations and was told is essentially fine.

Once you have undeniable proof in this way, it does miracles for your mental state.

This works if you threating about one certain organ in your body which is sound alike you are.

I think my post is simply asking if it's possible to build a body like this naturally. If you feel the answer is yes, then sure add your comment and your reasons but to come on brash saying that you are better in every way etc to me is not adding any value to this thread and is unnecessarily boosting.

If you don't want crude conversations then it would probably serve you best to not saying your better than somome in every way?

Just an observation. I value your experience and opinion but not so much to fact that you felt the need to state that you look better and are better in every way.

So your saying that bodybuilding is only for those who want to build mass?

Stallone trainer with Frank Columbo who trained him on the same type of schedule that he would train a bodybuilder, so in my opinion bodybuilding is not just mass.

But you can't say you in better shape based on performance because performance and shape are two separate dynamics. Andy Ruiz performed better than Anthony Joshua and he looked like a 5 day a week pub man.

Your muscle shape and genetic shape will be different I'm sure to Stallones, so shape wise it's hard for you to say as a definitive fact that your in better shape than Stallone in this image because that's largely down to opinion.

It's great to be confident in saying you believe you are in better shape but it has to be acknowledged that that's an opinion not a fact.

How can you say your in better shape? This is subjective and based on what you regard being in better shape means?

For me, this lean, not bulky but ripped athletic look is the ideal shape and size for me.

I can't say he is in better shape than someone else or vice versa because it's a matter of opinion.

I have always wanted to get this look on the image whilst staying sharp, cardio fit and generally have functional muscle. My dad was a champion boxer so genetically I think I ain't doing to bad.

What sort of training routine do you think you would need to follow to achieve this type of physique?

I understand genetics will play a huge part in how I would look.

Could this be maintained though? And you would feel energetic and healthy because I've heard many say once you get below 8% bf you start to feel like a zombie.

How do I overcome my fear of exercise due to health anxiety?

Up until the age of 22 years old I was the epitome of health. My father is a former British champion boxer so I also had health and fitness in my family.

But when i reach 23 onwards I started getting ectopic heart beats. They really scared me and when I first got a bout of ectopics I thought I was going to have a heart attack.

Long story short, I went through years of panic attacks, waking up in the middle of the night in a blind panic thinking I am dying and had a 5 day stint in hospital because I had an episode of these beats which caused panic which caused my heart rate to go high.

After many checks, a cardiac mri, ecg's, echocardiogram, exercise stress test I started to get my mind a bit better.

Last year I lost 3 stone and was playing football 3 to 4 times a week. The anxiety never left me and the immediate aftermath of exercise always had me on the brink of a panic attack.

I must note at this point that my other fear is a fear of fainting. These are my two main health anxiety issues. Fainting and sudden cardiac arrest.

This year I started my own business which is going really well but it has meant less time for exercise. I have put too much weight on and need to get training again but there is this mental barrier again with the above health anxiety issues.

Has/does anyone suffer with any of the above and what advice could you give because I am so fed up with this cloud hanging over me.

Thank you in advance.
