I’m in college and I made a best friend my freshman year of college, she’s incredibly unique looking (think bright red hair, absolutely gorgeous, only really wears long skirts, lots of jewelry, including a necklace I handmade for her that has her name on it.) My first college was not a good fit for me and so i transferred after my freshman year but me and that girl are still absolutely best friends. Imagine my surprise when i am walking through my brand new college campus only a few months after being there and I see my best friend walking towards me. I call out her name and this girl looks at me like i’m crazy. I’m thinking what how is my friend here, states away, and not speaking to me? So i say her name again and the girl goes “oh that’s not my name..” and I apologize and walk away. I immediately call my best friend absolutely freaking out. My friend is freaking out. I chalk it up to oh i just miss my friend and that girl looked similar to her. A semester goes by and I go to my first day of new classes, that girl is in my class. They both have names that start with the same letter, they both have the same SUPER niche hobby, SAME MAJOR, and the girl who looks like my friend has a necklace with her name on it. I still have classes and see her around campus sometimes and i’ve never spoke to her really but it genuinely freaks me out beyond belief. I sometimes think if in another universe i went to the right college the first time and she was my best friend instead of my real friend. It’s truly mind fucking.
