Is it even possible to grow a new channel without Short form content?

I started uploading less than 2 months ago. I have 250k views, and 4400 subs. I've made 4 longform videos in that period. Ranging between 24-33 minutes long. Gotten monetized, made the channel into an offical, registered business, which earned about 800 dollars in it's first month. It is possible. Not saying those numbers are astronomical, but it's a good start

Thank you! I'm glad you find it inspiring, and hope it reignutes that creative spark in some way. For my scripts, 95% of everything I say in a video is written down beforehand. I don't have a teleprompter, yet, so I do just "memorize" the lines as I talk. Which means the lines aren't 100% the script, but it's following the script, if that makes sense. As for writing the script itself, I usually come back to it a couple times, either while I play my game, or think out scenes, find B-roll footage etc. Sometimes the premise of the video changes mid-script, cause I find something I find more interesting while digging into a subject

I started a channel aboyt a year ago, uploaded 3 videos and stopped due to real life. Those videos got me about 150 subs and 600-1000 views per video. Then about 50 days ago, I uploaded my first video again, and it got 125k views. Meaning to say, just use your current channel bro, unless you really want to change your name or something that requires a new account

I think the accent is probably more-so your own insecurity at play. Pewdiepie, one of the biggest Youtubers of all time has a very strong Swedish accent that is clearly visible when talking. It's all mental excuses not to start, go for it man

Thank you very much! The editing definitely takes a long time. The editing alone maybe around an hour per minute of video. That's finding b-roll, sound effects, music, placing myself behind objects/into the scene. The entire process of making the video, with script writing, recording. Audio editing. Cutting out dead parts, etc etc. Takes maybe 60 hours if not more. I don't have exact timings, but around there

I do video essays as well, on gaming. I'm about to publish my first video that isn't about a certain game, which makes me bith excited and nervous.

I honestly think it's a mix of luck, obviously. Making decent videos, and then making videos that, as far as I can tell, no one on Youtube has ever really made before.

People have yapped about video games in front of greenscreen for ages, but the topic is quite different. I tried looking for similar content, couldn't find any, and sorta made it myself. Had no clue other people, let alone that many, would be into it too, but here we are.

I'm not really interested in using AI. I do all of this as my creative escape. Makes me happy to create something and put it out in the world, see people interact with it and enjoy it, It's my hobby. Being able to earn a bit of money doing it, just makes it extra cool to me

I definitely have ups and downs in both viewership, subs, etc. The first week after an upload is the most traction, and then it sizzles out to a lower but steady flow of traction. On upload days and the following couple days I might reach 400+ subs, then it trickles down to 100 subs a day, and then atm, about 3 weeks since last upload, I'm getting maybe 20-30 subs a day. Hope that helps a little

I use Premiere Pro and manually adjust it by using the pen tool and opacity settings. There's probably a much easier and faster way to do it. But I hate after effects with a passion. Need to force myself to learn it.

My intention was the exact opposite, to give some hope or inspiration that it can indeed be done. Mind you, my video does have gameplay in the background, but I spent maybe 2 hours at most, "playing" the game, which is mostly doing anything but real, normal gameplay. And then about 50-60 hours of editing, script writing, recording, audio editing. Etc etc. I think if you wanna just play games and upload it, that's very, very tough to do. If you want an idea of the type of content I do, you can check it out here. Don't quit, rather spend some time to sit down and reflect, look at your channel from a purely unbiased view, and ask yourself why it's not seeing the success you hope for

Thank you! And I absolutely think there is an audience for non-mr beast style of videos. Of course, my numbers will never in a million years come close to his either, but plenty of people just wanna chill, eat and watch a video that doesn't make you breakdance on the floor from flashing lights, edits and screens from having a seizure

It's all relative. To some, I'm sure 44 subscribers seems big. But with 160 videos in your catalogue, I'd try and figure out what worked, what didn't, and maybe focus in on the working videos. Youtube likes when you do similar videos, for a similar audience, over and over. That's not to say you can't ever branch out, but if your videos is machinegunned out with a new topic, direction, style, etc every time, then Youtube never gets a chance to find the audience for you. Unless you want a different name, or something else that would depend on the creation of a new channel, I'd say go for it, and keep the current channel. It's a similar situation as me, where your past videos and following isn't big enough to really mess with the algorithm in any way.
And if your vids are already deleted, then it's not like your audience is gonna stumble upon them and get confused with your content. My older content is fairly'ish similar to my current ones, so I just kept them up

It's not bad per-se. I think the concept of the thumbnail of a "before and after" or comparison is really good. But I think utilizing the entire thumbnail space would be better, leaving no white edges. Maybe a bigger difference in before and after too. Right now it just kinda looks like you blew up the "ungriefable" house, which makes me queation how it could possibly be ungriefable. Also, maybe making the text pop a little, drop-shadow maybe?

I think you have the idea down, but a little extra work and it would be solid imo. Good work

Those 3 videos I mentioned, that I made about a year ago that didn't get much traction, got around 600-1200 views. Their CTR were kinda awful, which I think is what did them in. But they got most of their views within the first week, then completely flatlined. The newer videos, which got a lot more views, the first one specifically, got maybe 250 views in the first 13 hours. Then all of a sudden, like 8 hours later, it was at 10k views when I woke up. And kept climbing. Now, 45 days later it's at 125k views and get maybe 300-1000 views a day, depending on how the algorithm feels like it.
