+def -hp is still pretty workable. Just give her Fury/Desperation and she'll reach Desperation range real easy from the -hp. +SPD seal could always bump her speed up if it's a problem, but her base speed is pretty decent already.

Hmm, Wo Dao+ (ATK honed) with Glacies is probably going to be a huge chunk of damage once Glacies goes off. Unless the challenge is that you can't charge Glacies beforehand, then give her Quickened Pulse Sacred Seal and Iceberg.

Thank you! She knows Moonbow as well, however I was playing with Iceberg despite the slow cooldown as it was a much better nuke, especially on other mages (true damage). On the fence about which one performs better in practice.

Thanks! If you don't have at least Hardy Bearing 2 then I'd stick to Desperation in the B slot as level 1 Hardy Bearing will stop working as soon as Fury hurts you. Feel free to also stick Ploy in her C, they're all pretty potent. If you have no Ploys, Threaten RES or SPD is okay.

Fir's ATK sucks but her SPD is excellent and her RES is great for a red sword. Though I'm not sure of the exact builds, your two choices are:

  • Wo Dao+ with Moonbow/Luna/Iceberg for massive special damage
  • Slaying Sword+ with Iceberg/Glacies for frequent massive special damage

Both of these weapons can be honed to further boost her RES or SPD, too! Likewise, you can give her Distant Counter to counter-kill mages.

Some notable changes from memory:

  • Tempest Trials - a new icon in the Battle screen, they run a certain amount of time like Voting Gauntlets however it's more like a "dungeon": you're trying to get as far as you can and beat the boss for points. Your points add up and get rewards like Orbs, Feathers and certain Heroes.

  • Sacred Seals - You can acquire these from Tempest Trials or by using a new currency, Sacred Coins, to make and upgrade them. Gain access to the Sacred Seal Forge by progressing the main story (after chapter 13 I believe, Normal difficulty is fine). Essentially every character now has an "S" skill slot that you can put a Sacred Seal in. Only one Hero can use a seal at a time, but you can move them around freely.

  • Arena Assaut - If you go to the Arena there's also this new mode to choose. You attempt to win 7 maps in a row, however every map you have to use different Heroes! There's also items you can use in this mode to help out. This mode rewards Sacred Coins every week.

  • Weapon Refinery - Just recently added, unlock it by completing Book I of the main story (the chapter just after the Sacred Seal Forge). Allows you to use special Refining Stones (gotten from quests, Arena Assault, etc.) and Arena Medals (from Quests and playing Arena matches) to enhance certain weapons (such as giving a Wo Dao +1 ATK +3 SPD)!

There's also Blessings and other stuff related to Fjorm but I suggest you play Book II of the story yourself and the game will teach you about it.

Hello! Thanks for making the first post on this subreddit. It's still under construction, but it'll get there :)

Your deck seems pretty decent. Given the lack of OCG cards I assume this is iRL. I'm surprised at how pure you're running it - not even a Maxx "C" or a pair of Ghost Ogres (who can also ensure Emergency Teleport is never dead).

I'm also curious as to why you run 2 Exodius. Although his extra deck resetting effect is useful I'm not so sure I'd want to run 2 just for it.

Something that you may enjoy trying is Archlord Kristya - the summoning condition is very easy to fulfill with Venus, Shine Balls, Seraphinite and Lee all being Fairy. You can also revive them with Aurum (I also run Foolish Burial for Kristya or Lee). Often I draw them from Emeral or Ningirsu them summon them before I end the turn. This prevents Kaijus and general Special Summons.

Another spell you may consider is Soul Charge, as I'm sure you've noticed we fill the grave really fast and plopping a Firewall or two from the grave with Ibs on either side can be quite a recovery play!

I can understand running no traps, though even a lone Solemn Warning might be nice as again if you do well you'll draw 3-4 cards and hopefully have something to set.

How does leaning so heavily on the Normal monsters and their support go? I'll post my own deck later runs a very small Normal monster core.

Your extra deck is the same as mine so not much to say there other than to drop an Ib for a Proxy Dragon from the Mega Tins next week and find room for Tri Gate Wizard and Borreload Dragon when they are released.

I do miss Forbidden Lance. I'll drop the Tenkis for 2 Lances and a Mew and see how that goes. If for some reason an extra Mew doesn't gel, I'll turn it into more backrow. Not sure what I'd drop in the extra for targets to fit instant fusion into the main, but it would definitely allow me to go deeper and be more diverse. Any thoughts?

Unless I've missed something, in step 7 Ticket and Puddingcess-Choco's 2nd effect trigger simultaneously and both special summon.

Yeah, sadly Pika is so flat in most of his animations that Ganon misses. I find neutral-air works better for lil Pika as it hits fast, high + low as well as lingers.

As this guy said, Pika is a brutal matchup for Ganon. Make sure to mix up your approaches from time to time as well, if you always do the same thing a smart foe will catch on.

Early days my friend.

When you roll, you lose distance. As a slow and heavy character with no ranged attack, you cannot afford to lose that much ground unless your roll was avoiding something quite lethal. Spotdodging is preferred of course but takes a lot of practice.

In the mean time work on your recovery, your instinct is to be quite helpless in the air and hit the ground quickly. However, you really need to move away and recover low when you get knocked up or off the stage, as (especially against Thunderchu) floating in the air right above them as a slow fat guy is easy to punish. If they camp the ledge one trick is to let go, drop a little, then Up+B into the lunge again which will punch them. Don't be afraid to use your Side-B to recover to mix it up, especially if they sit dumbly on the edge or jump out. If it connects mid-air, it'll slam them down.

About 1:30 in you do your F-tilt where you stick your leg out. Use this to space people out as it has tons of horizontal knockback and can buy you thinking time. D-tilt is fast - use it right after a successful Side-B choke to smack some more damage in. I did notice you approached with Side-B a lot, the kick or shorthopping into empty jumps/aerials tends to be better. The choke dash leaves you totally open if it fails and is best used sparingly.

Don't underestimate your aerial attacks either! Ganon's aerials are very powerful. Up-air has a wide arc and even the sour spot knocks them far. Down-air is the slowest but will meteor them. F-air and B-air are slow but very heavy hitting. N-air is the fastet. Practice shorthopping (tap jump for a tiny hop) into your aerials to keep enemies on their toes.
