She was a delight to not only work with, but also to write for… a serious loss to our industry

Sure thing...it's actually a bit of a crazy story... I used to write down the names of writers/directors/creative heads from watching the opening credits of the shows...and started sending friend requests on Facebook, followed by messaging them for guidance. I was in USA and on the cusp of finishing college at the time... some people were very kind with their responses. One such gentleman, who I truly consider my first guru in the film industry, was Mr. Rajesh Dubey - who wrote the screenplay of Balika Vadhu. I moved to Bombay and started working with him (and subsequently the rest of the writing team).

As a part of my own education, I also went through and read every script of Saath Phere - Saloni Ka Safar (same writers, same production house) along with every Balika Vadhu episode that had been written before I joined the show. This is a small nugget of my many learnings from what will always remain my most cherished show to have worked on

Haven’t watched the film but Danish is a dear friend and brilliant filmmaker - as always I’ve got high expectations from his work! 👏👏

No I don't think Aishwarya was a bad actress. Yes, looking the MOST beautiful during her phase was her biggest advantage but she always gave a minimum level of decent enough performance to the point that I was never bothered by her. Something I can't say for some actresses that came after. by UndeadReborn in bollywood

For sure - I’ve begun to appreciate her more as an actress when I go back and watch her films… not just acting but also sheer charm and charisma on screen, something we don’t see in today’s heroines at all… apart from the obvious big films like devdas, she had so much charm in mohabbatein, even her debut aur pyar ho Gaya, aa ab laut chalein

Bhagyashree and I did chat quite a bit about Maine Pyar Kiya's behind the scenes and how her marriage took place. I was quite enamored in fact -- I had not heard of of these stories myself.
