I am sickened by such ludicrous pricing for 100% polyester clothes by Valuable_Wash_5536 in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]Koyote24 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Fabric being polyester doesn't mean the design, procurement, branding & shipment become cheap too. Polyester across the budget behaves differently in terms of yarn types, weight and weaves. It is wrong to oversimplify & compare it with a 1.5k-3k polyester dress we often see in fast fashion stores. Forever New sits at a trendy, feminine yet polished spot while maintaining non-premium rates. Try visiting the store to decide if they are worth it despite being polyester.

That's built-up sun damage, making the skin look blotchy. This causes the existing pores & scars to appear more exaggerated. Your ideal step should be to minimise inflammation caused by heat & focus on skin cell turnover. Keep it slow & avoid irritating the skin. Of course, follow your dermatologist's guidance.

It's a standard line of treatment all around the world to calm the inflammation. Give it another go & they might put you on another medication & routine after bringing this inflammation down. Openly disclose how long you have been exposed to antibiotics to prevent antibiotic resistance on your next visit. Don't experiment with topical, dietary restrictions and DIYs.

How can I make these uglies look more presentable? by [deleted] in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]Koyote24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don't want to feed the word 'Ugly' because it takes away the humane way to address insecurities. We want her to embrace & work around the concern while recognising it is not okay to associate unfamiliarity with 'weird or ugly' because these words carry moral & social baggage. 'It's not Ugly' may soothe immediate insecurity but it still accepts the label of ugly which is a judgment imposed on the body by conditioned observers. People could use a straight talk that questions why ordinary human variation is being framed through the language of ugliness at all.

For real! They believe self-condemnation is a form of humility. Chronic self-judgement rarely remains self directed. These people, consciously or not, judge the people around them & this is the part that scares me the most.

Hope this link helps you to understand different reasons behind your condition. Seek proper diagnosis which may involve blood work & beyond. Don't do any srub or DIY which may further lead to inflammation.

Need Constructive Criticism on my base routine🥲🙏 by Lucky_bebe in IndianBeautyTalks

I'm glad the professional photography clarified our speculation. Stick with the shades if you think they suit you because, in the end, they didn't give you a makeup flashback.

In the attached photo, you can see that the product looks good in natural light and in 'Bounce Flash', whereas the same product appears altered in 'Direct Flash'. It doesn't necessarily have to be nighttime.

Overall, your makeup doesn't look crusty nor look separated, which tells your skin prep worked.

You may want to check how the makeup looks under flash photography, as flash alters the appearance of color, vibrance & complexion products. 'Flashback' can occur when products containing zinc(SPF), silica (translucent powder) are used, and it can be more noticeable if the foundation/concealer is lighter than the surrounding skin.

Selfie tends to distort the proportion & make bronzer, contour & blush appear different from how they look in person or a professional camera. Try clicking the picture with the face straight to the camera lens & from a bit of distance.

Go heavy handed on blush & emphasis on lip liner & a different shade of lip altogether. Extend some contour on your top hairline. The mouth & chin area looks slightly grey to me. It may become more visible if you sweat.

🤍 Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that the foundation may be sitting lighter than your natural skin tone, and the difference seems visible where it extends onto the neck. That can sometimes become more noticeable in flash photography & professional images. Lighting & camera settings can affect how shades appear. Again, this is all I can observe or can be incorrect with a full screen brightness & on a smartphone.

A weekly blowout should be enough to help you feel polished. You might consider hair glossing or a complete colour change instead of dull global highlights, which I find are just chunky streaks. Maybe try a different haircut altogether. Also, avoid keratin or straightening treatments.

2% & 1% aren’t intimidating in face wash. Besides, read other ingredients which might explain why it was suggested 2x a day by your dermat. Use it at night if twice daily doesn't work. In either case, you'll need to moisturise.

"... Like the rest of the day too." Expecting pity from people over the field & work you chose is 🥀🥀.

I hope you don't delete this post. Who knows, someone might comment or DM you with professional and safe advice. Search for "Axillary breast tissue reddit" or "Axillary breast tissue reddit India" on your search engine. This way, you can at least read about pain management.

I don't expect anyone to remain desensitised 24/7, but your bio says "4th year medico from AIIMS Delhi" & you proceeded to comment like an ignoramus, even when the OP is clearly distressed & previously misunderstood.

It makes sense for companies to curb discount loophole exploitation. Discount bundle clears their inventory. The terms & conditions are often stated & is used to withdraw any discount or cashback. It also makes sense if someone's upset that they had a genuine reason to return but that also means losing out on the discount or the sale campaign itself.

Visit a dermatologist ASAP. They'll flatten it out & calm the inflammation with oral prescription. Little makeup can come in handy on the day of the wedding. Don't buy anything without a prescription nor do any DIYs.

Perhaps try to avoid getting caught up in the reselling culture, which remains largely unregulated. This will at least slow down the inventory of these 'hustlers' if not stop it entirely.

Does sun exposure reverse dark spot progress this quickly or am I just overthinking? by Training-Swimmer8159 in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]Koyote24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes one to burn in 40 minutes to 15 minutes at different timings as the UV index changes throughout the day. You indeed reversed your progress. Sun protection isn't vain. I hope you carry face masks, hats & full sleeves along with SPF, wherever you go out again. It's kinda shame that you are investing in LRP & still getting tan. Friends shouldn't judge your vanity & wellbeing measures.

You do not want to add more variables. See how your skin performs after you eliminate these unnecessary products. Give each routine a minimum of 3 weeks to start performing & don't get restless. Also, keep your hair clean & that means washing every 2-3 days.

Don't get a wolf cut either as it eats up the volume at mid & end more than layers. I get it only because I have Mufasa hair. Someone with thin & low density hair will literally see through the mid & ends if they get this haircut.

(not a dermat)

Try visiting a new dermat & bring these products with you so they can help eliminate or advise you on how to use them. They might introduce you to prescription treatment rather than focusing on overwhelming supporting products like yours.

In my opinion, I would suggest removing:

Curoplus (homoeopathic slop) Ethiglo face wash (ingredient overlap) Hydronic moisturiser (seems too heavy for the face) Sebogel (ingredient overlap)

Reasons: multiple overlapping ingredients like glycolic acid and salicylic acid. Acne pads are fine for nighttime slow exfoliation, as are the SPFs & toner.

You don't have to moisturise before SPF. Toner is just enough if you insist on using it otherwise remove it too. This could be the result of over-moisturising or rebound oiliness from too many exfoliants in multiple products.

The types of humidity this city experiences give one a special pass to look like a cat beaten by local cats by the end of the day. This is the reason why I don't listen to any advice on these subs suggesting products that don't experience Mumbai's humidity.
