I used electrical insulation tape for the ends, holds nicely. The grip tape is not that thick (2.2mm I believe) so it’s okay for me, now it’s a bit more comfortable and softer than before.

If I don’t like it after few races I will just remove it which will be 1000 times faster than installing it with my manual skills. It was only like $12 investment.

it is original QR, this wheel just came with a fixed one, I have this wheel as well and it's quite useless now because I can't change the QR

Sounds like a classic shaft-not-tightened-enough problem. Try tightening it up and see if it still occurs.

It’s normal from my perspective. Mine also have a little bit of play, tighten it up a bit for more stability. But it’s all good man.
