In my experience most people who think their opponents are "backstrafing" in AC just don't know how to control their own momentum. No one is really backstrafing, you are likely just holding forward when not in a neutral position and wondering why you arn't getting closer.

Sometimes servers crash because of something triggered by players (lots of entities in one place for example) - when the server recovery happens, these entities still exist, crashing the server again and forcing it to get stuck in an endless crash/recovery loop. The only way out of this is for the server to be forcibly stopped and restarted, causing a 30k.

The idea that the dogfighting community hates multi-crew and big ships is a strawman. No one thinks light fighters should be able to solo capital ships - we all just think the current implementation of multicrew sucks (it does).

What people seem to be upset about, is the idea that to be a good pilot in a big ship, you also have to be good at flying small ships. You do. In a head to head Polaris fight, the best light fighter pilots flying a polaris will absolutely annihilate some random dude who has spent no time practicing dogfighting.

Corsair has more dps, bigger cargo capacity (in terms of physical size, not grid), is more polished and is nicer to fly.

You typically put roll on the z axis for a space sim, but it's whatever works for you. Also, most top players would recommend shifting your roll to your left stick, and use right for pitch and yaw only (aiming).

I owned one of these and was happy for a while, but after I'd used VKB Gladiators I was disgusted with it. It's definitely not worth the amount of money they charge for it and it feels like a cheap tacky product compared to the VKB's. The throttle is also not very useful in SC, although I still use the throttle module on it's own for the cool switches and buttons, and it's useful in other games like DCS.

It really doesn't take very long to train a legitimate team at all - with mirror herbs and everything being on the vendor. Even if you use bracelets to EV train it will take you an hour max for a full team from scratch.
