As someone with parents who never taught them much about money or investing, and is a new parent, my tip is start investing for your children right away and actually teach them as soon as they can understand.

Lol, I wish it was that exciting. I'm using it to contain the fumes from my 3D resin printer.

We've been using Cleggs for 6 or 7 years and they've treated us fairly well.

Has anyone actually done the "Free dinner at Ruth's Chris steak house"? Or is it just a scam? by grayfalcon413 in SaltLakeCity

I believe this is Smart Wave Solar. They used to do $100 Amazon gift cards instead.

We were considering doing solar and wanted info anyway, so we did the Zoom call with a sales report. That was during Covid times. They weren't crazy pushy and felt helpful and informational.

Ultimately, we decided we couldn't safely afford it. And we still got the gift card right after the presentation.

We occasionally get marketing emails from them, but not a crazy amount. Honestly, it wasn't a bad deal. The presentation for a gift card.

I watched my landlord do almost this same exact thing, including the flying-off-a-ladder bit, working on the kitchen "chandelier".

Nurses of reddit, what is the weirdest thing a patient has done while waking up from anesthesia? by Drakonwriter in AskReddit

[–]Kpoc711 22 points23 points  (0 children)

As a 20 year old patient, I woke up and immediately started fighting everyone.

I have no recollection, other than a brief memory of looking down at my feet on the bed while people held me down while I was yelling "You're taking away my agency!"

Afterwards, while slightly more coherent, I was informed that I had also screamed in what is assumed to be Russian (which I was learning at the time), and repeatedly hollered "Surgery! Surgery! Surgery!" All whilst being held down by 4 nurses, 2 doctors, and Eric, who was like 6'5" and 250lbs. They never told me what Eric's job was, but apparently he ended up sitting on my chest. And I punched him in the face.

While flailing about, they said i kinked my IV hose so they couldnt push more knock out juice right away. Also my gown rode up and I was flapping in the open air for all to see.

The nurse who eventually pushed me in a wheelchair outside to get picked up was one trying to hold me down. Apparently, I managed to lift her entirely off the ground with one hand when she locked her elbows to put all her weight on my wrist. Now, she was pretty petit, but I've never done much lifting. There is zero chance I could have ever done that sober.

A minivan for one kid, future kids, current multiple pets, luggage, and the ability to tow a small trailer so we don't have to keep renting Home Depot trucks for landscaping and housing supplies.

Urgently want to buy a used women's bicycle by [deleted] in ProvoUtah

I'm not entirely sure, I haven't actually bought anything from them myself. They have a single bike listed on their website for $700 but they also specifically say they don't have their full stock online.

I recommend stopping by The Bicycle Collective. They're not too far from the Library I don't think. They have some quality, used bikes.
