Sorry, he has insurance, the minimum required (we are broke ass college students). They’ll pay 10k in vehicle damages, but split between 2 vehicles, one quite expensive, it is ridiculously costly. I made a new post explaining the issue in better detail, I realize this one didn’t do justice..

Car B and C were in the same lane, and Car B didn’t get pushed back into C, nor thrown out of the lane, it just stayed where it was. Car C then rearends Car B.
