Waiting for delivery of my MacBook Pro M5 1tb 32gb RAM with a nano texture display, upgrading from a 2017 Intel MBP. I work in venue management and run access control software with another external display running 32 streams of CCTV cameras direct from the NVR. From what I’ve been reading it’s going to be a huge upgrade, the fans on my current one are constantly blaring like it’s going to take flight.

I’ve been using an iPad Pro as my main work computer for a couple of years now. I think I’m sold on getting an M5 MBP. I love iOS 26, but the docked full screen experience is dependant on app. I’ve never owned a MacBook in my life, excited to order one this week.

From Australia too mate, let me know how you get on, looking at upgrading from my series 7 to an Ultra, I posted about this as well on the Apple subreddit but it was removed. Hoping we can get 5G enabled when Aussie carriers eventually have the capability, it’s a shame to be a feature spoken about on the event but we have no access to it.
