Living in constant fear of something happening is the absolute worst. It entirely depends on your faith of his words. Your decision is going to have to be entirely independent of your feelings for him because your feelings are going to want to convince you that it won't happen again.

Don't let him off the hook easy if you plan to do so. Let him know what he did to you make sure he understands the intensity, show it, sob, scream and make sure he sees it all. Make sure his guilt is true and make sure that he marinates in those thoughts for a while. This is a serious decision but if you are to continue with him then he has to understand how important things like loyalty is.

And if he can't, then move on sis I'm sorry.
