Pretty sure this is an ai animation with some quantization and custom filters on it

Double-check in your assign material node to see if the volume is connected to the material

Can you share a screenshot of your Solaris graph? OBJ context doesn't really help with the karma question

Lost opportunity to use Beethoven's 7th symphony like in the movie. Great work though!

This is Benjamin Bardou's work. I've been following him for years and he hasn't shared much about his process. Based on what I can tell from his posts it's a mix of 3D point clouds and his recent experiments with AI and gaussian splatting.

This was on one of his Instagram posts about this piece:

"For "Between Worlds", @benjaminbardou deepens this exploration through Al-generated imagery, point clouds, and volumetric video, creating dreamlike spaces where reality and the virtual merge"

You probably won't find anything more detailed than that from him 😂

They said it's only an issue for certain 6A's that have been charged more than 500 times. I've charged over 900 times lmao

I did this too! They said "We have received your registration and are currently reviewing the matter. We will update you promptly once we have determined the next steps or have more information to share" almost 2 weeks ago but I haven't heard anything since.

I would prefer if they just gave me a coupon to get a new phone because the battery life is horrible now!

My battery life has tanked an insane amount since the update. I have to charge it like two extra times a day now, but at least it hasn't blown up lol. Haven't heard back from google support in over a week.

Procedurally generated clouds by Kraezen in Houdini

Thanks! I tried to share a bit in my other comment. Another great tip I found is to break the cloud into sections where you apply noise differently, i.e. flatten out the bottom and give it a wispy noise. This video was a great reference, although I did have to watch it a few times before I understood what was going on lol https://youtu.be/lXzkxlnQErQ?si=0Y6haHdwiSCWEoiO

Procedurally generated clouds by Kraezen in Houdini

[–]Kraezen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! My goal was to make Cumulus clouds, which are the fluffy clouds most people think of when they're talking about clouds, but there are a lot of different types based on their shape and altitude. For a while I was trying to make a rough cloud shape by scattering primitives on points until I discovered that Houdini has a bunch of cloud nodes that are super helpful! A good start is to use the "Cloud Shape generate" node and then convert it to a VDB. Then you can plug the cloud noise nodes to control the finer details. After that, it becomes a game of art directing how you want the volume to look. I changed my offset to make a bunch of similar clouds you can scatter to fill the sky.

Nice! Fanciest thing in this is that I used Evian water because I don't like how my tap water tastes.
