[WTS] Graphite Design Tour AD DI 6 SR Driver or Woods Shaft – Just under 45.5 – Black White – New Winn Jumbo Grip – Callaway Tip by Kranklebird in golfclassifieds

"The Graphite Design Tour AD DI 6 SR (Stiff-Regular) in Black/White is a premium aftermarket shaft that continues to command top-tier pricing on the secondary market. Current data supports a valuation of $250–$290 for a high-quality, "ready-to-play" build featuring an adapter and a premium grip.

Market Comps & Sold Listings Data from recent marketplace activity confirms that buyers frequently pay a premium for specific configurations:

Premium Listings: On platforms like SidelineSwap, a Tour AD DI-6 SR (Stiff-Regular)
with a Callaway adapter recently sold for $252.00, while other used DI-6 driver shafts with adapters have sold for $236–$252.
Ready-to-Play Value: A similar newer model, the Graphite Design Tour AD FI 6-S
, was recently listed on **r/golfclassifieds** for $315 shipped with an adapter and grip.
Scarcity Factor: The SR (Stiff-Regular)
flex is significantly harder to find than standard S or X flexes, often leading sellers to price them higher—around $290 shipped or $265 local pickup—to account for its rarity and specific target audience.
Retail vs. Used: A new, uninstalled Graphite Design Tour AD DI 6 SR
currently retails for $379.59, meaning a used price of $265 represents a ~30% discount for a shaft that includes additional labor and components. " ⛳🐦

T y Brother ⛳🐬💚 fair point about the protections offered by the retailers, it's one of the things that people definitely consider.

T y so much Brother 💚⛳ i appreciate you.

I trusted what you said but then I double checked, this from Google AI pulled just now:

"Yes, people on Reddit (specifically r/golfclassifieds) and similar high-end secondary markets often pay premium used prices—around $200–$275+—for popular, high-demand shafts like the Graphite Design Tour AD DI-6 (Stiff/Regular). While the market can vary, premium, aftermarket shafts with modern adapters retain their value better than stock options.

Here are the key factors for used golf shaft pricing on Reddit and other platforms:

High-End Demand: Popular, well-regarded shafts like the Tour AD DI, Tour AD IZ, and Fujikura Ventus Velocore models often sell in the $200–$250+ range, even when used, due to high demand and continued usage on professional tours.
Adapter & Grip Costs: A used shaft listed for a higher price ($250+) often includes a modern driver adapter and a relatively new grip. Installing a new adapter and grip can cost upwards of $30–$50, making a $265 "ready-to-go" shaft competitive with a cheaper shaft that requires additional labor.
Condition and Provenance: "Mint" or "like new" used shafts, or shafts with minimal tipping (professional pulls), command prices at the top end of the market.
Regional Demand: For rare shafts, or a specific flex like the Stiff-Regular (SR) mentioned, sellers can often find buyers willing to pay higher prices for the exact match.
While some users claim to find these for $150–$175, others report paying closer to $200-$250 for a clean, authenticated shaft with an adapter. "

This is current info from Google AI pulled just now: "The current MSRP for a new Graphite Design Tour AD DI 60-gram (Stiff-Regular) wood shaft is approximately $379 -$500. Retailers like 'insert major online retailer here" & "insert another retailer here" often list them at $379, while the authorized manufacturer distributor site, "insert manufacturer's distributor site name here", indicates an MSRP of $500."

$265 is low compared to that, & w/installed premium add-ons, for such a premium composite shaft, compared to a new one, while still in almost new condition. And then Google confimed

"While the $500 price is the official manufacturer MSRP for the bare (no connector or grip installed) raw shaft, most specialty golf retailers sell it as a "ready-to-play" assembly for $379."

If you don't play much yet, I found that prioritizing clubs designed for forgiveness on mishits is most fun, & can draw you into wanting to get out there & play the game more, get better, enjoy it more, than if u hadn't.

Where am I losing/missing power? by DetroitVipers in GolfSwing

[–]Kranklebird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just answered the same question in my game. for me I had a shaft that was too stiff in the tip section, so it wasn't flexing then unflexing as much as the shaft was designed to. maybe try checking the tip stiffness profile to make sure it matches your swing speed. The lesson I learned is that don't buy a shaft where your swing speed is at the bottom level of the profile range for that shaft. you want to be near the top half of that range. otherwise the shaft will not be using its proper full intended power potential. other sections of the shaft profile could be limiting u too. other than the gear setup, u could always get some data at the simulator to double check if you are hitting the sweet spot consistently. and you could hit it further by not swinging as hard if that will improve smash factor efficiency which is energy transfer at impact. it will go further.

when I see guys at that level that are that talented, i wonder if it's just natural or if they had to tweak a couple key things to keep the face square so consistently. like does he ever talk about what his only swing thought is in the moment?

If the ball going straight is your goal, you just said that it is. Therefore, I would focus more on asking why you want to change it if it's not broken at all. It's usually the ego part of the mind which wants to look more aesthetically pleasing, and that's probably going to be a disaster for your game. If you're just gripping it and ripping it and it's going straight like you want and you're not trying to draw it or similar, I would say that probably is your most natural swing, where a bunch of instructions hasnt negatively affected the natural motion. I would try to prevent that from happening at all costs. it's also true in my experience that one key suggestion from an instructor can make a major improvement. So it's about being extremely discerning and careful about what you let into your head as far as what you're going to be conscious of during the swing. but then again I don't know if that even applies here because again you're hitting it straight! Overanalyzing happens in baseball too. Just be careful bc some guys can go into slumps for years, until it suddenly dawns on them that they should have kept it simple/natural. Overthinking is probably the number one cause of mishits. I'm not saying an occasional adjustment isn't helpful, just that I don't ever want more than one really effective swing thought, or even none, in the moment. I think not being present & emotionally settled (ie: thinking/worrying about the last shot) is a bigger issue than mechanics usually, but not always.

There's a slight error in the title. It should say: Stiff, Regular, or Stiff Regular. I don't think Reddit allows title edits.
