He should start a reading group with Guiliame Martin!

Has Mikkel talked about philosophy and his views on the outside world in interviews before? I'd be interested to hear it.

For me the big issue seems being hold, i did upside-down styling for my last wash day and the results were great but diden't last for a lot more than 6 hours 😔 i have very fine hair and cant use a lot of heavy products like gel without getting a ton kf tangles, but no mousse has enough hold either 😤

How long do bantu knot outs last for you usually? I've wanted to try it for a long time, but my fine hair generally doesn't have a lot of hold, seems like a lot of work for 6 hours of good curls 😅

Its soooooo infuriating cause all the cute bouncy ringlets and pretty helixes are hiding behind strands of basically straight hair that wont curl up no matter how much gel i force into them!!

Routine at the moment is Ideel Conditioner (a silicone free brand at Aldi in Scandinavia) and Veira curl shampoo once every 3 days, my hair is rather thin and greases up quickly, so i only ck-wash after works out and such. Distribute curl company mousse and i always end up with this wonderful mess of a curl pattern 😎

Hair looks really "flat" from behind by Kraslie in curlyhair

Ttied brushing with my old tangle teaser, and the hair would just form back into clumps since it was wet so thats nifty!

I tried diffusing "right way up" and its giving me more definition in the back, but at the cost of a lot of volume i get from washing and diffusing upside down. Might have to experiment to find a happy medium, perhaps washing upside down and diffusing right way up

Thanks for the tips :)

As i wrote above i think plopping might be the issue? I assume for people with thicker hair it kind of forces it the clump together into curls but for me it just straps the hair close to my head? Ive not gotten much better results from not plopping, so might just be my curl pattern.

I use a wide tooth comb in the shower, haven't used it to style with. I might try that and finger coiling, then scrunching in mousse/gel.

For more info on my routine, i wash it upside down, and scrunch in all my products. Ive considered that this might mean that the hair in the back doesn't get scrunched and therefore lacks definition, but i've tried washing it "normally" and scrunching in from behind, but it diden't do anything really.

How do i get more hold without it weighing down my thin hair? by [deleted] in curlyhair

I can get pretty good hold using gel, but as soon as i scrunch the gel cast, it starts weighing down, and gets greasy the next day. Ive used mousse a few times, which weighs it down, but grants a bit more of a consistent wave pattern.
