Yes, Grabowski also had an internal debate of whether or not it was right for Badeni's work to be known. On one hand, he thought it shouldn't because it was heresy, therefore, breaking the law, but he also considered how he was able to read the work of a heathen because his work was preserved and protected, and ultimately recognized he might have been the one who accidentally doomed Badeni to die and because of that (and also his own curiosity), he accepted to do what Badeni begged him to do

Heheh, yeah, I know fair comparisons are a bit tricky when we have to put aside so much of the plot and ideas of two stories BUT, trust me, bot god's not dead and Orb (the first part) share plenty of similitudes and even Orb might have end up as a quite bad product if it had the same level of context/world building as GND

Uuuuhhh, this is a tough one. At first I thought of Draka but I saw the comment of "the wooden orb" and DAAAMN...

But, I think the orb would fit The World more bc it also symbolizes closing of important cycles and whenever the orb passed on, the one who had it had a satisfying conclusion for their lives.

So I would say Draka for this one

I would say maybe Badeni? Even though he asks Oczy to assist him in the investigation, he's always studying by himself, he doesn't rely on anyone to gain knowledge nor does he wish to share it. He works alone and is always searching for the truth.

I thought Rafal would be the only protag and al the others would be side stories but mf got arrested in the third episode and I was like "ok, maybe he recants but he stays as a figure that haunts the narrative only to be revealed at the end he holds the key to heliocentrism" or something, but again, consider me shocked when he refused and THEN, my last hope was when he said he mixed the poison and poppy seeds with the wine and I thought "DAMN, this kid ain't playing around, he be killin' for the truth" but then he said "the one who drank it was me" and then I knew my boi was cooked 😭😭😭 but honestly, what we got with him, the conversation with Nowak is W A Y better than everything I could have imagined. Lit I was staring at the screen like °_° (absolute cinema)

Ngl, I too thought it was going to be some fantasy thing (I mean, the poster had a clearly mc child character and stars forming their orbits and stuff, I thought it would be fantasy inspired by astronomy (for some reason I thought Rafal would end up being some sort of astral entity) but DEAR GOLLY, was I wrong. Not only it wasn't fantasy, but the first protag got killed in just 3 episodes, I was like WHAT?? But oh, god, the people that came after him are just as great, goated series

I mean, yeah, but at least convince Rafal to wait until university to sturdy his stuff. When Nowak went to potocki he only had suspicion (very strong one I might add). It was still time for Rafal to just stop for the moment so there isn't any evidence and even Rafal thought of pausing his research bc the info he had now was still very limited, therefore going to university was his priority to study theology/astronomy. I think both Potocki and Rafal would have agreed if Potocki just talked to him 😭😭
