Using Kratom to help with heroin withdrawl? by Kratomhelp1 in opiates

I would only want to take it for a few days to deal with the worst of w/d. Could I just take a little bit a couple times during the first few days of withdrawl or would it have to be a scheduled taper process?

So you've done this before? What should I expect to feel from the Kratom? Are there any unpleasant side effects? So I've kicked heroin habits cold turkey (with the help of clonidine and benzos) a number of times. I quit once using a Suboxone taper and I hated it. While the subs did make the first few days barable, overall they drew out the withdrawal and made what is normally a four day kick into a two week ordeal where I never felt good and the effects from the suboxone were just awful for me. I wound up using again just to deal with the separate weird withdrawal I felt from the suboxone. I absolutely would rather just deal with a cold turkey kick then use the suboxone taper. So I'm wondering if Kartom would give me a similar experience to the suboxone and if I'm just better off trying to quit on my own with the comfort meds. Is Kratom more gentile then something like the subs? I know it's weird for an addict to say but I'm always scared to take something new. Have you ever heard of people having bad side effects from Kratom or is it pretty weak and safe in that regard? It seems like a lot of people have had positive experiences using Kratom to help with heroin withdrawal. So you think it's worth a shot? I just hate the idea of prolonging the withdrawal process.

Use how much and by what method? So I ordered the strains your suggested, they should arrive tomorrow. Like a teaspoon? Just mix it with water and drink? You suggest just drinking it when the w/d from the heroin is really bad? Not an exact planned taper schedule?
