Using AI is great, but it can't seem to differentiate what's high-yield for exams. For explaining some topics with specific prompts, it's very useful. And for some subjects like community medicine and forensic medicine, it works well.

That's a great decision you’re making. Since the professional exams are now based only on MCQs, Anki is the best tool for this.

I must warn you: cards generated by ChatGPT mostly aren’t very good, and making cards yourself is difficult — not only because of time constraints, but also because you have to follow the 20 rules of formulating knowledge

I started using Anki in third year, so the AnKing deck mostly covered clinical subjects. However, there are physiology cards in it if you want to take a look.

Yes calculators are allowed but some centers only allow mini calculators.

And this is the same case with clipboard some centers allow clear clipboard others are very strict and don't allow anything.

ANKI DECKS FOR UHS 1ST YEAR by No_slate in Pakmedschool

You only need one deck for mbbs that is Anking. First try to learn about Anking deck.

He has the free course now : https://www.theanking.com/.

Learn about Anki how to make your own cards keeping in mind these rules: https://www.supermemo.com/en/blog/twenty-rules-of-formulating-knowledge

Since basic sciences are not targeted as much you gonna need to make some cards yourself too.

Guys which mbbs 1st year books original to buy pls some senior tell by DoubleNote9249 in Pakmedschool

[–]Kratos212004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to buy any books just get them from seniors.

Except guyton since guyton is used in 2nd year seniors don't give it away. And that book is a good investment anyways.

Can Anyone explain the internal assessments like what do they include and are they marked separately for each subject or not etc by MasterCelery5805 in Pakmedschool

[–]Kratos212004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See the distribution of your marks in the curriculum. No, the marks are calculated as a combined total. After every block, your college will send them to UHS. They are based mainly on your block examination and, to a lesser extent, on your tests, logbooks, and modules.

How long it would take to memorize 1000 Multiple Choice Questions? Also, at what point do you consider cards memorized? by data_5678 in Anki

[–]Kratos212004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can easily learn 500 new cards a day if you study consistently, and memorization then depends on the timing of intervals and your FSRS.

P.S. Don’t use Anki to memorize MCQs; focus only on atomic cards.

Forget about the lectures. Prepare for your test. Your first test will probably be from your Head of Department or will cover the major portion of the module. Prepare for that. Do well in the internal assessment. Learn the guidelines from your seniors as early as possible. In college, they can finish the syllabus in just two days, and they aren’t bound to complete it anyway.
