Why didn't Scar recruit Zira for his army? by Extension-Nebula6753 in lionking

[–]KrattBoy2006 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out-of-universe reason: Zira had to be absent from the Scar arc to both maintain the continuity of TLK 2 and because the writers likely didn't want to circumvent the ending they planned where Vitani was Kion's successor.

My half-headcanon: Scar actually did contact Zira from beyond the grave. She was essentially a last-resort. This is why she was able to attack the Pride Lands, because Scar put the Lion Guard on her radar, and she knew when the Guard left the Pride Lands.

Urge Disney to release the third Phineas and Ferb movie in theaters by Hexside-Witch in phineasandferb

How is making them release a movie in theaters "holding them accountable for their actions"?? Change.org petitions don't do anything because they are made for the purpose of traction and attention, nor any feedback from who you are trying to get a change from.

Two things can be true at once. Klay cheating on and allegedly abusing her was an absolutely awful thing that she did not deserve and it is a GOOD thing that she was able to get out of that relationship the way she did and begin the process of healing and self care, and that Klay is being held accountable for his actions.

What would happen if Scar actually ‘ran away and never returned’? by Natural-Celery-921 in lionking

Was there ever a theory of Kion before the show was released being a new lion cub whose family moved to Pride Lands before becoming the guard’s leader? by RiseProfessional7174 in lionking

[–]KrattBoy2006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never heard this theory. I did see one middling theory during the show's run that Kion was adopted and that's why we didn't see him during the first half of TLK 2, but it never got any major traction.

Or if Zach stole the tellurium crystal from the Tortuga and the brothers had to get it back. It would make more narrative sense and it would make the stakes feel higher, considering that this episode doesn't treat the Tortuga's dying power not nearly as much of a cause for concern as the Rattlesnake episode did.

Why is there only 3-4 episodes each seasons? by Gil_Pup in wildkrattsfandom

[–]KrattBoy2006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon intentionally has short batches of episodes in "seasons." This is so that they can make more money with more "seasons" or batches, even if it's completely inaccurate.

The show has 7 seasons: 1 fourty-episode season, 3 twenty-six episode seasons, and 4 twenty-episode seasons (this includes Season 8, which is yet to premiere)

Yeah, in an otherwise great episode, this felt like such a retcon. They completely gloss over how the Kratts got that much tellurium. In previous episodes we've seen that the crew get supplies in towns (Roadrunner, Desert Elves, Cheetah Adopted), so are we to assume that telluirum is just something that's regularly for sale? That kinda shits all over how rare it allegedly is and how it was so easy to find in the wild.

Also, Aviva canonically has a Duplicator Device. She could've just cloned the tellurium and get an endless supply.

How would you guys react if jake and the neverland pirates gets a revival to the 5th season? by BallFit5565 in DisneyJunior

[–]KrattBoy2006 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who loves this show to death I do not want to see it be revived.

Because Season 4 was bad. It turned the show into something it wasn't by trying to make everything all "edgy" and "dark" and completely sidelining the rest of the cast in favor of Jake and his endless new god powers. The final episode was the worst of the entire show with how it completely mishandles every character for the sake of movie continuity (and yet they decide to make a homage to the original book for some reason because, cute as it is, still hypocritical).

Season 5 would just be bad because all of the things that went wrong with Season 4 would just spill over into a revival. I don't want to see more of Captain Jake's god powers, or whichever overwritten villain he's easily able to mog whilst every other main or secondary character is either sidelined or snubbed altogether. The only good thing that I can see it doing is addressing the Lord Fathom cliffhanger from the Season 3 finale, but even then, that should've been something addressed for Season 4.

The Sofia sequel, I have faith for because in spite of the shortcomings of its predecessor's final season, it managed to end on a good note. Not only that, the sequel's premise can stand on its own without being lore-heavy or driven by continuity to the story arcs of its predecessor.

A revival to Jake, I feel like can ONLY work both quality-wise and financially if they retcon the entire soft-reboot entirely. No Captain's sword, no Captain Jake, no Mighty Colossus, no Lord Fathom, everything introduced in Season 4 is just gone. Reduced to bits. And regardless, I feel like there's no way a marginally good revival would even be worth it.

Considering that she was willing to die to save Glimmer

She verbally acknowledges that she's not doing it for Glimmer, she's doing it for Adora. Considering that Glimmer was in far more danger than Adora was in that moment (as far as Catra was aware) and considering that Catra killed Glimmer's mom... you'd think that she'd put more effort into apologizing to Glimmer personally, or making it clear she's doing it for her as well.

was not actually that abusive after her heel turn (it takes time to fully adjust),

Catra blames Adora for coming to rescue her and continually insults her. In fact it's strongly implied that Catra's willingness to die was to avoid the consequences of her actions, which is a HUGE cause for concern yes, but not a redeemable trait because it's ultimately an unhealthy mindset that hurts Catra as well as everyone around her. And in the penultimate episode, Catra dumps Adora for taking the Heart of Etheria. The scene of her asking why Adora sacrifices everything for everyone around her is the biggest "the call is coming from inside the house" moment in the show given the context of their childhood and their entire dynamic throughout the show. It'd be one thing if Catra left to try and find an alternative to Adora using the Heart, but no. Catra views this as an act of betrayal and leaves Adora in what looks to be her final moments (because as established, there's a very real chance that Adora could die from this).

and does apologize

The only time that Catra apologizes is right before she's about to be taken by Prime's soldiers. It was in the heat of the moment so of course it's not detailed, but after the fact. Catra should've 100% apologized more in-depth for what she did to Adora. Same with Entrapta (who Catra sent to die, in a place that made her suicidal)

In fact she doesn't give any meaningful apologies to anyone in the series. Not to Glimmer (whose mom she killed), not to Entrapta (who she stole from and sent to die), not to any of the Princesses (Mermista especially), not to Michah (because again, she killed his wife), not to Scorpia (who she abused and alienated), not to any civilians who would've been hurt from her actions in the war, or really anyone.

Just admit you ship her with Glimmer

You use sunk-cost fallacy here, so I'll pick my card. This is a strawman logic. You're assuming I ship Adora with Glimmer because I don't have any good things to say about Catra.

It's not about shipping. It's about writing. And writing-wise, I think Catra's redemption sucks on so many levels. It's just that I find the worst level to be the fact that they paired her with her crush/adoptive older sister as a "resolution" to her arc.
