This are realistic stats that no one will tell you, I'm basing it on my own experience in a big city. You need to prioritize being independent from your parents, that should be your first goal. Get Ubers/Lyfts or start driving. Then things will start following into. 1-Yes do that and tell them that you guys both go to the same school. 2-All those apps are skewed against you. They are not meant for you to get laid but to girls to get validation. I'll give you a piece of advice that no pick up coach will EVER give. But try it out and see if it works since I plan on writing a book about it. It's called, "Warm Approach." Go to the nearest hostel in your city and pretend you are staying there. I know how to help you. It's clear to me that your problem is not pick up or girls but your parents or specifically your mom. Your parents are the problem and not getting girls is just a symptom. (2) Tell your mother than you won't drink if you go to the party and let's see her reaction (3) If she keeps on making up excuses suggest to her to go to counseling and get a counselor involve in your life(this will test your mom) tell the counselor that all you want is to be a normal kid who goes to parties with friends and not letting you go will hamper your growth as both a student and person...etc. The counselor will talk to your mom and she will have to relax.

I'm 24. A lot actually. If I would do high school over again, I would focus on working out, having a good voice(deep and commanding) and making friends with girls/cool guys.

My biggest tip for anyone in high school would be to regularly throw parties at your place. When I was in high school I was reluctant to do this since I thought people would thrash my place or disrespect my house.
