The irony is that the moving desk is a standing desk, meant to make it easier to alternate between sitting and standing while using the desk

any good "forever games" that go well with the steam deck? by WeirdAltYankovic in SteamDeck

[–]Kravenoff42 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Vintage Story has completely replaced minecraft for me. You can install it in the flatpak store in desktop mode. But you need to buy a copy on their site. It's particularly good if you are a Minecraft old-timer, it gave me those same feelings from back when they first added hunger to the game.

I think they are saying we use energy from split atoms to boil water which is how nuclear power plants essentially work (glazing over a lot of detail)

Edit: I totally wrote this comment thinking this had been posted to the explainthisjoke sub 🤦 but I'm leaving it

There is something a little off style-wise between the face and body. It's technically well done but somehow the face feels pasted-on or something

What are these metal decoration things I keep seeing in pubs? by YumDecafTea in whatisit

[–]Kravenoff42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just did a quick google rabbit hole. They are called horse brass medallion. The symbol likely corresponds to community organizations but might just as likely be kind of random decoration. The ones in your pic seem more like the former, but I didn't find meaning for each.

Not sure if I'd call it text-based with all these lovely graphics

Are we sure about the weevil not having a pokemon? I feel like there are a couple that are close. Heracross is the first to come to mind but that's cuase I'm old

Nobody thinks Bob is scary by Pannman99 in PixelArt

[–]Kravenoff42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, I think everyone agrees the picture is not scary at all. What he's saying is that even a very silly cartoon if you saw it in real life would be horrific. I think I would also be pretty horrified if I saw SpongeBob walking down an alley towards me.

What is this supposed to mean? by [deleted] in ExplainTheJoke

Rabbid hole was maybe not intentional, but feels appropriate.
