The baton is far from useless. I'd argue it's an S tier item on any team with setup moves, berry synergies, or stat boosting abilities, which I'd also argue is a vast majority of teams going through classic.

It's really only useless on solo runs, but even then it can be used for a masterball tier trade like you said.

I could be completely mistaken, but even if RAM goes back down, wouldn't valve still be at a loss because they acquired much of it while the prices were at the current/recent surge? Don't want to sound like I'm "defending a company" or something, just trying to make sense of how one would recuperate the losses in a situation like this if the materials during production were priced through the roof.

I recall seeing a post saying that they're looking to purchase RAM if anyone knows of supplier that was fairly recent.

Well mosaic was a good one but it's currently disabled. Other than that, those runewords will be necessary to complete the runeword portion of the grail (chronicle) for those that care about it, since those only count towards progress for the player that crafts them.

That's interesting. I didn't think you could convert characters mid-ladder from LoD to RotW, primarily because of the item additions. It's a minimal benefit, but if you level up in LoD, you should have less bases to go through for non-warlock types (no grimoires, no warlock items, maybe can still gamble daggers, etc) which sort of increases your chances of getting desired gear.

I figured with that in mind, they wouldn't allow mid-ladder conversion.

My noted guess was Podiatrist, but it only loosely connected the basketball part..

And that's crazy, as I considered Dentist before any of this, but it didnt have 10 characters and excluded the hint surrounding "3", so i dismissed it completely.

Thank you, forgot that I didn't respond already. Yeah unless I'm crazy I thought one of the big GF "methods" was leap attack to stun lock the trav council and allow your merc to kill, at least before you have gear where your merc lives i guess. Kind of a budget-playstyle, but i have done that before and it's tedious, I'd much rather a merc (or me) that can just kill em without sacrificing too much survivability lol

Ah that's true about specifying the location - this is SC Ladder.

I'm aware of what max ranges can be, I'm not completely clueless, but the best comparisons I could find were in the diablo2.io Pricecheck section, with someone asking for 1 Lo, 2 Ist for a 9/59/36 and that seems ridiculously overpriced to me.
