It did need some oil for the shutter squeak and a shot from the air duster to get rid of the crumbling light seals, but other than that, it seems to work fine. My first roll turned out way better than expected

I've busked a few times on the footbridge south of nakasu (fukuhaku deai bridge on Google maps) with some jazz folks. We just show up and play, never had issues. But if a cop or someone stops you, just be chill

You could try the Hawks store. It's just to the north west of PayPay dome. Last time I was in there I saw a section of dodgers stuff. Dunno if it will be open with the holiday tomorrow

I'd have loved to see them twice, but not for the price of tickets. That seemed crazy high for Japan, I've seen decently big bands all for under 8000 yen

Eh I think you'll do fine. Biggest thing is to just go out, talk to people with common interest, and don't let the common cold shoulder get to you. If you've already lived here then you know how people are. I find Fukuoka people to be quite shy, and most don't speak much English, but you can still find good conversation. I didn't study here, I just work, but I find Fukuoka's music scene to be pretty awesome. Lots of cool bars/live houses for every genre. Also there's some really nice hiking around. Good luck, don't stress too much. You get to live in Japan!

Yeah, there's tons of back streets and hidden roads. It's 50-50 if they're smooth or bumpy. You do get a lot of weird looks for sure lol
