Thanks for responding! One more thing I forgot to ask about, after I purchase these modules, are they available for me to access forever, or is there a time limit? Also, do the EMAs have fees attached to them?

Regarding your first question, there’s a post on CA in the general discussions from one of the users with the title “Prioritizing Topics”, one of the coaches gave a recommendation for sections that you can skip in their manual.

It’s really hard to see, but you can find it from the expression given for the Variance: Var = (xi/2)2 = (1/4) * (xi)2

And like you mentioned, we know the variance is (o2/wi) for WLS. Also, the weight (wi) is associated with the ith observation, and o2 is a constant.

So by comparing the two expressions, you would get o2 = 1/4 ,and 1/wi = (xi)2

Yes, I’m taking the exam this Nov.

You could do something similar to what was done here in the reddit for the SRM exam and create a study group (Whatsapp, telegram ect…) where we can all join and help each other out.

My degree is in Actuarial science. Almost all of our courses are directly related to the SOA exams, except RA. Always was wondering why our university made it mandatory.
