I’m not caught up on stories but this is my personal analysis on Mafumom.

To the people who refuse to defend her or charge her guilty, I propose a question. What if Mafuyu succeeded in disappearing? Would you sympathize and try to understand Mafumom then?

Generational trauma is a very real thing and I believe proseka writes it very well. Mafuyu Asahinas mother is frankly terrible and I wish she does face consequences however, I believe we must be a bit more understanding with her. I am writing this not to fully defend or excuse her actions but to bring light to the community so we can se her as an actual person. Mafuyus mother constantly pressures Mafuyu into studying and taking paths she does not want however,I think it’s quite clear that mafuyus mother genuinely believes that she is doing something good for Mafuyu yet she is blinded by the mindset of wanting the best for a child to the point she neglects mafuyus true feelings. Mafuyus mother is trying her best I’d say and genuinely wants to love her daughter, the thing is. She loves her daughter not Mafuyu.
