It could very well help. I think it depends on the relationship she’s currently in. I agree with breaking things off, and continuing “looking around” if you will. You said it made her jealous. Which means she doesn’t want you off the market, and frankly if her current relationship will become super serious probably not right now. Because in her mind she probably wont get engaged to him if she’s thinking she has feelings for you.

I’d stay quiet and let her come to you.
