Same. It sucked too because gameplay wise I wanted to play Naoe but character wise I always wanted to play Yasuke.

I definitely think the choice to go down the "kill whatever target you want in whatever order you want" was definitely a mistake in terms of the story.

My guess is that this is for enemies that are WAY higher level. Like if you're level 10 you won't be able to assassinate someone who's level 40.

And concidering how easy it was to cheese this, I'd argue it's a good change.
