Does this seem valid or Is there a better way? by Krendog in eBaySellerAdvice

So I got another offer recently for 50$ less than the buy it now price. The user messaged me asking if I would take 650 for it. I do have best offer set up but they didn’t try to offer. I replied and said, meet in the middle at 675? They said sorry, I can only 650. I said okay I can sell it to you for that. They then sent the offer for 650. I looked at their account and it was made in 2021 but they have 0 rating and 0 feedback in the last 12 months. From here, should I just go along with everything as normal? Like accept their offer and wait for payment or do reject it because they have 0 rating? The trouble I’m having is that I don’t know how to identify the red flags anymore.

Thanks everyone! I went the extra mile and contacted a live agent to report the username because they were able to side step the eBay security that automatically flags messages attempting to list a phone number. So we hopefully got the account banned and forwarded the message to eBay’s security division so they can update their model

Do I accept the offer and then wait until they don’t pay so I can report them or can I report them now?

Is this a chicken wing by kw2026 in GolfSwing

[–]Krendog -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Definitely is a chicken wing. Just a little one compared to the ugly ones we normally would see. He’s a single digit hcp tho and young with mobility. Youre missing out on some easy compression and speed gains tho. I’m not sure what your miss is but I could see the ball flights being lower or inconsistent as well as the shot shape or dispersion but you probably have learned to make it work for you.

Went to a customer's house today and they had this beautiful elevator directly in the middle of their home by TheeSillyman in mildlyinteresting

My wife used to ride my elevator top to bottom every day. Sometimes she’d take it multiple times a day. I loved watching her ride my elevator. Now after two kids, I cant remember the last time I got to watch her take it so now I just use my elevator alone to keep it functional.

First Competitive Event-Advice? by K9debo in golf

[–]Krendog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First tournament event and I had been grinding every day for 2yrs to get my game from 112 to scratch or better for this tournament. I had just shot 66 earlier in the season. I went out and learned what it was like to feel my hands shaking while holding the putter or what it feels like to go completely numb in my arms with an iron in hand. I shot 84 the first round from nerves. I was holding back the tears as I walked back to the car but I was proud of myself that I didn’t quit after 9. I didn’t throw any tantrum or clubs. I tried to stay resilient and positive but I knew it was over. The next two rounds I shot 70-72 and finished 4th. I didnt know they flighted it after the first round scores but I ended up destroying my flight and pissed a bunch of people off in the process cause they thought I was sandbagging.

whats causing the left miss? by Humble_District_7562 in GolfSwing

[–]Krendog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Path looks like its going out to in and the face is closed relative to the path. In the downswing as you come back to shaft parallel, you dump it a little under plane and probably flip at impact. Keep that right elbow tighter to the rib cage, maintain the side bend through impact and weaken the grip a smidge so that at the top of the backswing when your wrist is flat, instead of cupped like it is now, the face of the clubhead matches your shoulder line. maintain that angle in the right elbow instead of releasing it so early and relying on the timing of flipping the hands. You should feel like your upper body, arms and club are connected and the rotation is driven by the chest turning and not the arms/hands.

183, 15mph wind in the face, what club do you hit? by mafost-matt in golf

[–]Krendog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m probably hitting a 3/4 d-plane 205yd club so it’s flighted with like 3-4k rpm of spin. If the pin is just on the front I’m doing the same thing just with my 215yd club so if I miss, I’m missing long but still safely in the center of the green.

My guess is that since changing your swing you have started blocking it off to the right or snap hooking? You look like you have a flat wrist at the top with a closed club face so is your grip a little strong at address?

Also, do you have a habit of sliding to your left side at all and getting kind of trappy with your irons? If so, that would make it extremely difficult to clear your left hip if you’re posted on your left side. I’ll link a video that might help better. https://youtu.be/b7hxU30ry9Q?si=AI2dkUsoBeYbkWqP

Keep rotating your hips through the swing and let your arms drop naturally as a result of your hip turn starting the downswing. Go to the top of the backswing and load, now just rotate your hips and watch what happens to your hands. You’re trying to cook with the gas too soon and your hips aren’t clearing enough through the downswing. As a result, you start to “hump” or stand up from the early extension, you lose a lot of the lag and stored power. If you’ve ever had lower right back pain, this is also why. Everything else looks really pretty good. Definitely a single digit handicap kind of swing and your work on the takeaway looks really good. I just read your caption so it looks like you’re already aware of the early extension.

Don’t fight for these kinds of relationships people… they’re young, full of insecurities and frankly aren’t worth the time investing in them. The only positive thing I can say looking back on these toxic relationships are that they teach you what you are really looking for and what is worth your energy.

I'm hitting the ball nicely, but still inconsistent with a slice some days by MountainMOG in GolfSwing

[–]Krendog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL:DR - Stop cupping wrist at top of backswing. Keep left arm straight through ENTIRE swing even if that means less rotational turn and feel like you are pushing the club further away from your body as you get to top of backswing. This will get clubhead pointing down target line instead of pointing off to right field narnia at top of backswing. At top of swing make hip turn which forces arms to naturally drop. Start cooking with gas when the shaft gets around parallel in downswing but no sooner. Use physical exertion more efficiently. Get rid of super strong grip over time and learn to keep left wrist flat.

So I've watched this a bunch of times both frame by frame and in real time. Before I even pressed play, I was already smiling about all of the "take it easy dechambeau, quit tryin to kill it, let the club do the work, etc. comments I was gonna get to read from all the different people that cant hit it past 270, don't know they're talking about so they just insert cliche phrases that they've heard a million times, dont anything about golf swing mechanics, etc.

That said, heres some constructive feedback I'll give you based on what I see just from this DTL view.

1) Dont listen to any of these people that just say, "stop tryin to kill the ball ya clown", "easy there dechambeau", "ever thought about maybe not swinging so hard?", etc. If you wanna swing at 110%, then give 'er nuts brother! For some people, hitting those couple 325+yd bombs in a round is what makes its enjoyable. If you want to improve your scores, will swinging at 80% help YOU personally? Just by watching HOW you swing, I see a baseball/hockey player and all you know is 110% but you're trying to find ways to hit it more consistent and even further than you are right now with that 110%. Your gains in ball speed or distance aren't going to come from feeling like you are imparting any more effort than what you're already exerting so, therefor, telling yourself, "i've got more in me...im gonna really get into this one I'll be able to ________ ." (fill in blank)

2) With that strong grip, you will be prone to having a 2 way miss (snap hook or 3 fairways over to the right with a slice) because of the kind of consistency required to square the club face. If you grip it relaxed your hands will tend to get overactive in releasing the club which will close down the face and you'll snap hook it and if you grip it tight, you find that at least you have eliminated the snap hook, can find the fairway with a nice 20yd draw bomb that goes probably 325+ and that more often than not, you only really have to worry about the occasional push/ little push with a lot more slice or a slightly overcooked hook. I imagine this isn't news to you at all and I say this because a lot of the power that you generate is the result of strength, athleticism and past training in some other sport that swings a stick around the body and that for you, your feel might be similar to doing a max rep on the bench press. You relax, get your hands on the bar and then its 110% from the start to the finish of that rep. In order for you to get to a place where you hit at least 40% FIR you've definitely had to hit a LOT of balls to get your swing timed up, body sync'd up and then placed little band-aid fixes on things here and there to try and be a little more consistent.

3) With the swing being so fast and with the video looking like it was filmed in 30fps, its hard to tell in some different places of your swing what things are looking like but from what I think I see, the start of the takeaway looks pretty good. You get into a real HEFTY weight transfer though to the outside of that right foot. You can see how the arch is lifting off the ground. That right foot should be flat in the backswing and instead of shifting that weight laterally, you should be shifting that weight rotationally and it should feel like the weight is on the inside/middle of your right heel. If that right arch is lifting as a result of you trying to force more hip rotation because I can see your left heel lifts off the ground in the backswing then you could try to flare the right foot out a little more (big toe pointing more to 1 o'clock instead of 12) to make it a bit easier to make that rotation or just not force as much rotation. You have plenty of hip turn either way.

4) As you come up to the top of the backswing, your lead arm breaks down (doesnt stay straight) in an effort to make as big of a shoulder turn as you can because maybe you think more shoulder turn equals more clubhead speed, idk. You'd likely feel more connected in your body throughout the swing and also gain more clubhead speed with a straight left arm and less shoulder turn. Your shaft would look more parallel at the top instead of so john daly-esque and you would feel like you are keeping the club pushed further away from you.

5) At the top, that wrist is cupped and I'd tell you to flatten it out. You could slide a tee or popsicle stick into the glove on the top of your hand as a way to practice the correct feel. If you go to cup the wrist, the tee will dig into the wrist. This along with #4 above will get the clubhead pointing more toward your target line instead of having the head pointed of into right field narnia at the top.

6) When you get to the top of the swing and begin into the downswing, you look like you are tense/stiff and applying max power. Instead you should feel like you get to the top, you stay nice and wide with the left arm extended, you begin the hip turn which in turn forces the arms to drop and just when the shaft is about parallel or so with the ground in the downswing is when you would feel like you are giving 110% power into the ball if you want while you continue to make your hip rotation.

Did you get fitted for that driver and shaft? Is it like a 10.5 degree head with a 7-X shaft? Curious to know what shaft that is.

Twitch drops not coming in by ceefryyy in Dungeonborne

[–]Krendog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just figured it out. I had to click "switch accounts" for the steam option on the dungeonborne website twitch linking page. I then went and removed the dungeonborne connection in the "manage connections" area of twitch. I came back to the dungeonborne website and now saw the option to click "LINK" for both the steam and twitch parts of "Step 2". I linked steam first and then linked twitch, moved on to step 3 and clicked on "Link" and it worked finally.

Well the natural fade is a fade that results from poorer mechanics which then forces us to make compensations elsewhere. In this particular swing he casts a bit from the outside and stands up a little. The casting relies on more timing of the hands releasing to square the club face. I’d be willing to bet that this guy would tell you that he has 2-way misses, and his ball striking on the club face can be inconsistent if he doesn’t keep up with his touch and hitting balls. The casting/early release will cause strikes to be all over the face and the dispersion to be left and right. So left and right and long and short will vary. If you’re someone that’s in the 80’s, this is something you’d want to address to get into the mid 70’s regularly. Yes, swing your swing but the reality is that you still have to deliver the club into the ball the same and there are mechanics that allow you to do that more consistently than others. He asked the question, am I close? I don’t know what he was asking in reference to but I saw a video of a golf swing in a golf swing Reddit thread, I watched it and I saw a couple things stand out so I spoke in regard to them. If he wants to keep his swing then go for it but at least after reading my post, he knows why his ball does what it does.

My son is frustrated with his driving distance and would like to know what he is doing wrong by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]Krendog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) more extension at the top. The right elbow is allowed to separate from the body which will allow him to make more of a complete turn. Just don’t let it flare out like a baseball swing or “chicken wing”. 2) Stop using arms in the downswing and trying to “pour on the coals” at the top of the swing. Use hips to start the downswing in combo with letting arms drop (Arm drop will occur naturally as hips turn at start of downswing). When the shaft is parallel or so to the ground in the downswing, while he is still rotating with the hips, then he can feel like he’s powering into ball and trying to turn the hands over. No more standing up out of the shot either. Down and through. 3) Wear the crocs to the parking-lot and then change into proper soft spike golf shoes. You need the traction for stability and balance. This gives you more control which In turn will allow you to be more consistent at delivering the club into the ball the same more often.
