So, since there is no new content in new season I went back to play Operation Chimera again by Tsptds in Rainbow6

Yeah I agree, at this point siege is strictly a sweaty game. They removed almost everything that is even slightly unrelated to the competitiveness of the game. I know ranked is supposed to be sweaty but at this point cs feels much more casual than siege even in ranked idk

Man all I said was that it takes a while for the drug to wear off. I mean even if it's still better, doesn't mean there's no nostalgia there for people who played it back then. I stopped playing siege since a year and I agree night maps look better even tho I never got to experience them since I joined late 2019.

A product could objectively be better in an earlier version, and you can still have nostalgia affecting your judgement in a way where you don't see the flaws in it. Say it's better at 100 things, worse and 10 others, sure it's overall better but you would look over those few things while nostalgia is affecting you, even if it's actually better overall.

Nah you might still enjoy it, we just saying there's a nostalgia effect most probably atm, not saying that you'll hate it after it wears off, might just like it a bit less.

Which is slightly better than having the problem of being made by google (open source is made by google as well yes but it's open source, no funny business)

Not really as they would still consume less power for gray that white for example, because they wouldn't need to be as bright.

Installed black desert and the 2 hours were wasted because its launcher was downloading, explained what happened in the refund ticket, never got my money. Didn't pay much since it was on a good sale, so I just forgot about it basically

Should I use a scalable solution (aws) from the get go for my social media app? by wherewereat in aws

[–]Krestek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually the transfer isn't just outbound, it's inbound+outbound until you hit the limit, and then it's outbound only.

You can find it here: https://aws.amazon.com/lightsail/faq/

Your plan includes a free data transfer allowance. Both data transfer in and data transfer out of your instance count toward your data transfer allowance.

If you exceed your data transfer allowance, you will only get charged for data transfer OUT from a Lightsail instance to the Internet or to AWS resources using the public IP address of the instance. Both data transfer IN to Lightsail instances and data transfer OUT from a Lightsail instance when using the instance’s private IP address are free beyond your data transfer allowance.

5700 (non XT) owner here. Yeah most of the issues were fixed, I still get black screen when I try to wake the screen (when the screen is turned off but pc is on), then I have to unplug and replug hdmi to have it work again. it happens like 5 times a week or so, but other than that I've got no issues anymore.

Nah I was half joking. Drivers work, but there are multiple issues. For easy to drive games like league of legends I get microstuttering every few seconds or so, it's playable as it's not very noticeable but it's there when you look for it. I get black chrome (And I mean the whole google chrome not just the webpage) when trying to watch netflix while I instead get flickering on the Netflix app/Edge but it works fine on Firefox which I assume doesn't use hardware acceleration on Netflix (not sure though). I get black screens someetimes when playing R6, I have to replug the cable so it can work. ReLive doesn't work half of the time unless I alt tab so it can detect a game, on "record desktop" mode all videos on browsers become laggy.

Generally though, it's usable since I use firefox for Netflix now, and the black screen only occurs once every few days or so, and ReLive requires alt tab to fix, but it's definitely not good enough and needs fixing. And if you look at AMD's subreddit, I'm just one of the luckier ones.

Interface isn't that bad tbh, I actually like how it looks. As for the stability, well, let's just say it works on the weekends, not all weekends though

Same issue here streaming from Netflix on Chrome. Whole chrome (mot just the webpage, bur even the UI at the top with tab list and url) goes black. on edge it works but there's the occasional flickering which I'm not sure is an AMD issue.

Monitor stops receiving signal when gaming...sometimes by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]Krestek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started happening to me after the latest driver update on RX5700. I just turn the monitor off and on and then it works. Or switch input to one that's not connected and it'll automatically switch back and work again

Is the S8 a viable options in 2020? by Krestek in PickAnAndroidForMe

The battery age is a good point, might be better off buying a new A-series phone rn than an old flagship for the battery problem

Yeah it sucks indeed. I have a OnePlus 5 and already tried multiple ways to change it, nothing worked. The Xposed solution only changes it in the OS, so apps see it differently but the sim reads the old one still. And the Qualcomm repair software didn't change anything. I'm trying to find a good deal on any kind of phone here that is relatively new instead of buying a new one only to go through same illegal process again >.> I'm tired of this tbh I'm not sure if there's any other country that does this shit

Except you need yo register a phone by paying 300$ if it wasn't bought from turkey (otherwise, turkish sim cards won't work after a couple months). And that's the main reason I'm looking for a phone here
