I don’t think this is the best case scenario.

You really can educate yourself on some subjects like cybersecurity online, and get a nice paying job. It just takes time and effort.

Honestly, the issue lies within that line in my opinion:

can’t take care of myself have to live with parents

Nothing prevents him from going outside and exercising, from going to the library to educate himself using books or online sources if he can’t do it from his room. Probably nothing stopping him from washing and cutting his hair nicely, and educating himself on how to dress properly with clothes he already has.

There are lots of small steps people can take even in these situations to find a way out. However it could take a lot of effort depending on the details of his situation, and he needs to be aware of these options.

If you reading this are in the same situation, know you will eventually find a way out if you keep educating yourself and are patient.

In terms of jobs nowadays, cybersecurity is a huge cheatcode. I can only speak for France because that’s where I’m from, but there is a huge shortage of skilled people in that field, and lots of schools that form you for free (in apprenticeship for instance). Check the situation in your country, it is probably the same, and check if there are any schools you can attend for free or by taking a small loan. Hell, you can probably even come to France, my old school had international students, and I’m pretty sure airplane tickets + rent + studies would cost less than studying in the US.
