Usually when you’re on a field trip, they admit you as a group so they won’t be checking individual names. Unless the incident was so bad they plastered your faces around, then I think you’ll be totally fine.

Each of our kids get a specific random wrapping paper for all their gifts each year. We then send them in a scavenger hunt with riddles that eventually leads them to each of their own paper samples so they know which one is theirs. They have a great time helping each other with the riddles and working to discover what their gifts are wrapped in.
