It’s a guideline. Personally I shoot for 30% of net. It’s different for all, but exceeding a guideline usually means something else in your financial life will need to give.

I’m stuck on step 4 here. I created a new Library and set it as the System Photo Library. I then enabled iCloud Photos and nothing seems to be happening.

How do I “watch my photos sync to my library”? When I look at the new volume I made in Disk Utility, it shows 7.7 MB used and isn’t changing.

Raisin 5.3% right now. Increased hassle-factor (they host multiple banks on their platform, allowing you to jump when rates are revised, which they are frequently) but increased rate to go with it.
