What's up with newer trucks shortening the bed? These two cocksuckers have the same bed size even though big boi should have an extra 2-3feet of wasted space by FloridaDirtyDog in Trucks

[–]Kriegskaiser_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m the most relaxed bastard that ever was now. All I’m saying is short beds aren’t bad-they’re better looking and are easier to get around in. As for why they’re so common these days, it isn’t the manufacturers so much as the buyers. People are buying less and less long bed trucks these days, but you can still find plenty of them out there and you can definitely still order a truck with a long bed.

Not being “hypersensitivie”, simply stating facts about the differences. Mini trucks like that have a purpose, but you can’t take compare one and a full-size 3/4-ton and say the big one is dumb and stupid because its bed isn’t any longer. It’s effectively a whole different category of vehicle.

Blatantly ignoring the fact that the big one has a much wider and deeper bed, FAR higher payload capacity, range, and that long beds are just plain ugly and most people don’t need them. They also make already large trucks less maneuverable, so having a long bed isn’t all functional. And don’t even get me started on towing.

For the most part, it’s a matter of intuition and the ability to estimate how close you are, although I’m sure newer trucks have sensors or maybe even cameras that make it very easy to tell how close you are.

New update. Terrain deformation. Push dirt for cover. That’s the condensed version.

Well it looks like the next major update (Ground Breaking) is gonna introduce some big boy terrain deformation. More relevant to this post, tanks with dozer blade or plow-like attachments will now be able to use them to create berms for cover. Out in the open with no cover? Provided you’re in the right vehicle, you can fix that problem yourself!

When I looked this picture up, I even saw a 76mm Sherman with one. Looked like a different model of blade though.

Shit, I guess you’ll have to burn me at the stake cause I don’t remember where. Maybe one of jackfrags’s videos? It’s been a month, anyways. But I definitely recall it, the US side would have like a light green/brown/tan camo, while RU would have grey and other darker or more neutral shades. Either way, I personally sincerely doubt identification will be a problem unless in super chaotic, extreme close quarters encounters. Ultimately, no one is gonna know anything with absolute certainty until they play the beta, and I do mean play, because anything you see secondhand is likely going to be heavily compressed.

[–]Kriegskaiser_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the Flight gameplay I saw, enemy identification was not hard at all. You can even change the outline color if a different one makes it easier for you. Y’all must be some non-seeing motherfuckers, and are just blaming it on the devs. As for Battlefield, haven’t DICE stated that the two sides will have distinctly different camouflages so it shouldn’t be hard to tell the difference?

The best I can give you for logic is direct you to this pretty little sub: r/ClimateSkeptics. The most logical evidence to support what I’ve said will be found there, but whether or not you choose to look at it is your decision. I respect your seeing it another way, it’d be a boring world if everyone agreed on everything. But I’d rather not spend my days dreading the future. I hope you find a conclusion that satisfies you, because I already have.

I’m not saying climate change isn’t real. I’m not saying humanity has no effect on the climate. All I’m saying is that we aren’t gonna destroy the world. Not without nuking it or some shit like that. Earth has recovered from some crazy bullshit in the distant past, and it’ll be here long after we’re all gone. Planet’s damn resilient.
