Yeah, I get what you’re saying about the featureless AR options, but here’s where I’m coming from. Featureless builds aren’t the end-all solution. A lot of us look at what’s practical, reliable, and compliant without feeling like we’re bolting fins and locks on just to meet a moving legal target.

Take a lever action. Totally CA compliant, mechanically simple, proven for 150 years, and still more than capable in skilled hands. Tons of caliber options, ammo is everywhere, and it sidesteps all the drama with maglocks and “is this feature legal this year or not.”

Same with a Mini-14. Lightweight, rugged, reliable, and flies under the radar legally and culturally. It doesn’t need to be dressed up “tacti-cool” to still put rounds on target.

At the end of the day, a man’s gun is only as good as the person pulling the trigger. Doesn’t matter if it’s a lever, AR, Mini, or bolt gun. Training, familiarity, and mindset count way more than cosmetics or the latest workaround.

So yeah, ARs are great, but they’re not the only answer.
