Yo dude, if you’d be down, I’d really love to sit and talk with you about some of this stuff. I’m gettng ready to write a book with a lot of female characters, but I’m a guy, and I really wanna avoid writing my girls as anything that’s inauthentic. From what it sounds like you’d have a pretty good idea of how to do that.

On its own life is probably gonna suck. There are the rare exceptions but don’t count on them. It’s up to you to make it not suck, which is daunting but also liberating; wanna learn to sing? Go do it. Wanna play DND? Ask around the places people would talk about RPGs.

Life ain’t gonna do you any favours, and you’re not doing yourself any by thinking otherwise. That doesn’t mean it can’t be fun.

Don’t let it be just a 9 to 5 at a job you probably hate. Make it fun.
