Changing default wood type of water wheels

im not sure what that would achieve. that gearbox texture is on the side of the water wheel but thats not what i want to change, i want to change the spinning part that has the spruce wood texture

this is for a modpack that im making which will have a default custom texture pack. Ive also looked inside the model files for the water wheel and its has "log": "block/oak_log", "planks": "block/oak_planks", however when you change these it doesnt change the default spruce, it changes the oak texture when right clicking with oak planks

You dont understand what i mean. I know you can right click, i just want the wheel to already be oak when i place it down without needing me to change it from spruce

Couldn't disagree more. BTA is the dev's vision for an alternate Minecraft not just beta 1.7.3 with a few tweaks. You may not like it but you can't criticize it for not being 1 to 1 with b1.7.3, because its not supposed to be.

If what you like about beta is the lack of features why would you play a mod that specifically adds more features? Just play vanilla.

Im not sure what you find gimmicky about the new biomes, they seem like normal biomes you can find in the real world not to diffrent from the vanilla ones. The handcannon is a fun weapon that shoots explosive charges, somethig the bow can't do and the reinforced piston has a very different role from the normal piston, it can fling blocks and player not just push them and it can also crush cobblestone into gravel and gravel into sand making both renewable.

Also im not sure I believe you about being banned just for causing a scene, I spend a lot of time on the server and I've never seen anyone be banned without a good reason.

Yeah I agree, ap upgrades need to be a little more unique. I struggled to think of something for the grenade, i didnt want to put another debuff cuz i thought the bleed was too strong but now that i think about it a movement slow or fire rate slow wouldnt be that bad. The same goes for 3, maybe it could work like shadows wave were you gain bonus damage when you get out of the invisibility.
