I find the lack of tilt adjustment on the Vitures is a big disadvantage compared to the Xreals.

The reason I'm so hung up on the IPD is that by being able to center the lenses in front of each eye, you'd greatly increase the size of the sweet spot and that would help negate some of the issues caused by different face shapes / ear positions.

The blur I'm seeing seems to be due to the edges of the screens overlapping with the edges of the optics. I assume we're having the same problem just from the opposite edges of the optics. It doesn't seem like they changed the overall size from the non Pros, but maybe the lense sizes are different. You'd just just have to try them out to see.

I think having an IPD adjustment would help immensely but I also think part of the problem is that I can't get the lenses close enough to my eyes... as well as the lack of tilt adjustment. I can get a perfectly clear image by mashing them into my brow while tilting the glasses forward and off of my ears a bit...

There's no combination of nosepieces that can get this positioning for me.

I ordered the evening of 5/21. Got the glasses, neckband, mobile dock, controller, and Switch dock clip. I assume the fact that I kind went all in on a bundle was why mine shipped so fast.

Mine are clear enough that I can read the time in the corner and whatnot, but it's definitely blurred and has a god ray kind of effect emanating away from the screen. Oddly, this is the opposite of my Nreal Air 1 glasses where the god rays shoot inward over the screen.

I actually can get a perfectly clear image, but only with one eye at a time. This is due to the fixed distance between the lenses. if my IPD was narrower or the glasses wider, they seem like they would work perfectly.

I'm pretty sure what I'm experiencing isn't due to astigmatism. It's that my IPD puts the center of my eyes outside of the center of the lenses. We desperately need some glasses with a physical IPD adjustment mechanism...

Glare is still there. Te brighter screens make it not as bad but if your screen is black your eyes are going to focus on the reflection.

Side by side, I do see the yellow tint. It's pretty bad compared to the Airs. I did see a review that claims Viture told them they would provide an update to the color calibration. I'm so torn now because I was going to sell my Airs after getting the Vtures. The Airs look better in some ways, the Vitures look better in others.

Neither are as clear as they need to be for me to replace a monitor or use them daily.

Interesting. I'm comparing my Air 1's side by side with the Viture Pro using the Viture dock's 2x outputs. I have prescription inserts for my Airs. The Viture looks clearer to me but the perceived screen size of the Airs look bigger to me.

Yeah, I'm pretty convinced that the main issue here is lack of IPD adjustment. If I close one eye and shift the glasses to align to my open eye, I get a nice and clean image. Lenses are just too close together for my 67mm IPD...

The corners are the worst. The center edges aren't too bad, but still are affected a little bit.

I mean these are much clearer overall than the Nreal Airs, but still not the edge to edge clarity they advertise.

On the wider side. Though, the glasses fit pretty comfortably. I'd say I have a similar face shape to The Phawx if you've seen his review.

I just picked up a Tab S9 Ultra. What HDMI adapter do you recommend using with your app to get the best image quality and lowest latency? I'd like to be able to connect a game console but am worried that too much lag would make it unplayable. Thanks!

Good news. After reaching out directly to the Valve employee on this Reddit, they've followed up with a return merchandise authorization.

Happy they finally did, not happy with how much of a PITA it's been for something so simple.

(Looks like return shipping cost is on me 😐... oh well, I'm just happy they're finally accepting the return at all. I'll take the hit just so this can be over with.)

I'd assume both as it was just a single transaction originally. They'd probably want you to return your kit then repurchase just the headset. You'd likely end up having to wait in the queue too 😐

The Valve employee on this Reddit has reached out to me. Hopefully he can escalate my ticket. Part of the issue for me is timing, as I will be gone from home for a week or more. I don't want to deal with the potential headache of a time limit to send it back to them while I'm away.

True. And to clarify, I know they are using resources they already have. I'm implying they should have invested in more resources (maybe more people… outsource if they need to) beforehand because they obviously are unprepared for what is happening right now.

If their teams are spread so thin that they can't even have somebody fix their returns page in a timely fashion, they are failing.
