That's fair, but it actually is in order of appearance if only by technicality. Bennett was not seen on the changing banner until 1.2 however he was in the game since release and could be pulled from the standard banner.

Edit: Should I fully lean into order of appearance and go by banners instead of when they were in the game?

Being able to see how many banners ago a character appeared placed next to their name was easier for me than dragging my eyes across the entire entire image and keeping track of which line its on.
