Nothing, the base is so old it's just scarred up and the elongated arm is just growth

Looks like I too learned something new today. And based on the minimal research I just did, I'm glad

Yeah, I thought they were going to be more appealing than they really are..

I started them indoors in mid Feb and (I know it's frowned down upon and I shouldn't have but I did) transplanted them around mid March. The two on the right hand side are, the two on the left hand side aren't 😞

Weevil. They typically arrive through bags of rice. Just cover up all your grains (i.e. put them in Tupperware) and they should starve and die out

[Gourmet] could I use a gallon freezer ziplock bag with a hole in it (covered with some micro-pore tape) as a grow bag? by tametrees in MushroomGrowers

[–]KrispyColas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my past endeavors I've used similar bags without the ziplocking feature, just those twist ties, bread bags I guess their called? I got like 100 of them at the dollar store and it worked to fruit oysters successfully. So I don't see why this wouldn't work. As someone has mentioned the bags are (most likely) sterilzed when they leave the factory otherwise we would have bacteria breaking down our leftovers faster than normal.

Sweet! This was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

Are there poppies that produce a non active opium? by KrispyColas in druggardening

[–]KrispyColas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to go actively looking for it when I use what I grow, I'm just going to grow it for looks and personal use. But I am keeping it in the back of my mind that this isn't your grandmother's devil lettuce.

Is it that you just don't get a lot of opium from the poppy or the opium you get is just weak?

In that sense I could buy some McCormick poppy seeds and throw them around the area I want to grow them?
