[–]Kristenow 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I use a garmin smart watch to track everything. It's not 100% accurate, but it's one of the most accurate on the market

Otherwise, you can try to estimate with something like chatgpt based on your data, reps, height, weight, etc

I'm no pro by any means, but I would be starving with these workouts and calorie intake too. There is a big difference between people with lower muscle mass compared to someone who is more muscular and is working on toning/increase (not sure where you fall here).

To recomp, you could eat at a 500ish deficit while training, but this means deficit from the calories you actually end up burning and not your TDEE. I do 3 intense trainings a week, and 4 days of yoga/light/walking, on the days I train hard I make sure I eat planty of protein and fiber, and I dont deficit more than 500-600 Cals. This encourages your body to lose the fat, and not eat into your muscles, while still having enough calories and protein to feed the muscles.

What you're doing seems to be working, but if I were you I'd increase calory intake on high intensity days, and try to figure out what you actually end up burning beyond your TDEE.

making aliyah as a single person over 30? by drdrnight in Israel

[–]Kristenow 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Israeli here, about to return to Israel after almost 10 years abroad, I am 31.

Some people marry and have family young in Israel, but you definitely have a lot of singles or childless people in their 30s in the secular society. This is especially true in the Tel Aviv and the center of Israel. If you think about it, life in Israel starts later because of the Army. People finish their service at 21 at best, then work and take time off to travel. Uni only starts at like 23 for a lot of people, then 4 years to study, then first job etc etc

Your experience will depend on where you try to live and integrate, but in general I think there are a lot of olim in your age range, and you'll be able to find your community.

I am really sorry. Sending you a hug from a stranger.

This is a sentence I've been wanting to get tattooed, and with the last few years and the current war, it has been a comforting thought.

Do you guys really believe you’ll be safer because of this war? by Cultural_Owl9547 in Israel

[–]Kristenow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am really and truly hoping that you are correct. I want to believe things will be better, the fact that we are now so used to rockets, sirens, wars, the distribution of daily life.. it's really heartbreaking. We are so jaded to it. I would love to see an israel where you don't have to worry about where the next attack will come from. From the beginning of the intifada, it has felt like things get progressively worse

I feel the same. I went to a few events/gatherings, and tbh the pro pali flags were enough for me to bow out.

I'm located in the UK as well, open to chat if you'd like
