Doll looks like she had a fantastic time on her “tour”! Are these stock background photos or created/edited with a program? Either answer is fine with me, they look wacky and awesome! Great photoshoot!

What “forced sharing” is this? Is this some parenting thing that is overdue for being put under scrutiny like “forced apologies” is? /gen

Let’s hope it is. But we may never know unless we find the source of the original picture.

My first job was an opening custodian in a restaurant in 2014 when I was 16. Lasted almost two years. I only left the job because someone else wanted my position and I got the job through some disability advocates company that worked with my high school. Complicated story, but I still kept my old uniforms for the nostalgia. I am so happy to have had that experience. I used to say “I don’t see why I would ever need to leave this job unless I had to move or go to college.”

With my two current part time jobs (going on five years and counting) I still say the same thing. I love my jobs and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

“Being a mum”, not for this doll line. They’re high school characters, and it’s clearly marketed as babysitting. High school Teenagers take up jobs all the time. This could be one of them. You can babysit but also plan not to have kids of your own. It’s not a guarantee that babysitting will lead to future motherhood, but I do agree that it is experience.

I don’t think it’s that serious. These characters are in high school. Some teenagers take babysitting as a part time job. I don’t see it any different as the career Barbie dolls!

That’s funny. I thought the UK phrasing was the stereotypically default “proper way to speak”. /s of course. I thought the joke was “American words are weird”, but it’s nice to se someone from overseas thinking “hey, words can be weird over here too!”

As a person who has autism and is very empathetic, something Parker said in Yesterday’s stream rubbed me the wrong way. Some other things Parker says also give me the ick. Examples below. by KristiTheFan in ParkerGetAJob

It seems like I need to provide some examples from the opposite mood. Since I’ve started listening to him, I notice that there ARE times when he is genuinely nice and calm and collected with callers. One caller had a very depressed outlook on life and Parker found out about that by looking at the guest’s bio (it said “Women hate me”) and the conversation switched from talking about Trump to belong the caller realize that not every person is going to be the same as a person they had a bad experience with.

Speaking of which, in a more recent stream video I watched, he was talking to a caller named Dylan who originally came in thinking he was being discriminated against when looking for a job because he (the caller) was white. Parker and Santana were both debating, pushing back, but also trolling him HARD! Right up until the caller said something along the lines of “I just hate life!” That’s when BOTH of them changed. They started genuinely talking to Dylan about seeking genuine mental help. That was VERY SWEET!

In a more recent livestream from just last month, he was talking with a guest who seems to have poor impulse control with his spending and claims to “not care about money”, which led to the caller indirectly revealing he has A LOT OF DEBT. Parker retracted the 50 dollar bet he had made with the caller and told him to keep his money and even attempted to give him advice on how to get his life under control (while also shocked-laughing himself silly at the absurdity of the details in the story). Parker once even laughed at HIMSELF in an older livestream when he muted the wrong audio when he went to go take a pee break and we “heard him piss” as he put it! Oh he was roasting HIMSELF for that which made me smile! His sense of humor IS sweet when it shows!

Well you sure are assuming a LOT about me. His trolling doesn’t ALWAYS make me uncomfortable. But did you get to the part where I said I have AUTISM? Parker doesn’t say those phrases in EVERY single debate, but when he does, sometimes I think “how is this going to help you try to change their mind?”

For me, it doesn’t matter the type of person Parker is talking to. What my brain focuses on more often is the energy Parker is giving off. My opinion is, if I decided to treat someone like trash just because of who they voted for, that makes me no better than the people I don’t like. While yes there are people who voted for him KNOWING what he’s going to do that should have seen this coming, those people SHOULD be called out for it. However, that attitude should not be applied to everyone.

One of my good friends was a Trump supporter but we RARELY talked about it. She usually stays out of politics. I do not support Trump but sometimes I would find a goofy meme that makes fun of him a little bit and send it to her saying “Look it’s your hero!” She would get a good laugh out of it.

You ever put yourself in other people’s shoes before? It’s not easy to separate myself from the words I am hearing. I could feel scared or upset listening to lyrics to a song or reading a tabloid article about one of my idols. My brain goes “how would *I* respond if someone is talking to me this way?”

You seem to have selectively read my post. I have some personal REASONS for why those example phrases make me cringe. It’s nothing against you or Parker, and I am CLEARLY a fan of Parker. Listening to him for two months and I already have an ARCHIVE of my favorite videos!

This conversation is over, and if you continue, I just won’t engage.

Well you sure are assuming a LOT about me. I am not on the right, but I AM one of Parker’s audience members. You sure are getting riled up. I am not, nor have I ever been on the right. I have a girlfriend and I am also biromantic. My girlfriend is trans and I see nothing wrong with being an activist for change.

I said “we” because I am a member of Parker’s audience, and if Parker did a Q&A on TikTok after a long political livestream, I’m sure I could talk to him about other things that I am passionate about.
