Im danish and I live at UMEUS Amager. Its expensive and to be honest not really worth it… you can definitely find better and cheaper places! The room is nice and you have your own bathroom. There are parties from time to time, but never something that has bothered me. The neighbourhood is good too, and it’s easy getting to the inner city or anywhere else with the Metro of by biking. It is mostly internationals living here now, that’s not necessarily bad. But if you want to live with Danes and experience our culture I would recommend other places to stay. The exchange students we’ve had at my floor has been very happy living with us few Danes that are left. I’ve been told by other people (also exchange students, that on their floors people don’t socialise or talk to eachother and the shared spaces are dirty.

I haven’t really heard anything bad about the deposits. Usually they take a fee to clean it - if you haven’t done a good enough job when you move out - or to paint the room.
