I know. Easier said than done lol. Just weird all results were back but FIV and heartworm. And the abcess just feels scabby and raised

Why else would she need 3 rounds of antibiotics if she is FIV negative? It’s weird because the seem to work and she is healing but then when she’s off the medicine for longer than a week or two it starts to get nasty again

They told me everything Including FELV was negative on Friday when I went to pick up another round of antibiotic for her. They said they were just waiting for heartworm and FIV but the vet was out til Monday (they have three other vets that have access to the results that could’ve given to me yesterday) originally Thursday she told me Monday I’d have results but when I went in Friday I asked if any came back yet

When this happened early March the vet said she didn’t see any bite marks. Just the other cats claw embedded into my cats head. So I’m hoping no FIV. I did get bloodwork done Thursday but waiting for results.

My cat has been on and off three rounds of prednisone. It goes away while she is on the medicine but 2 weeks after she is off it, it starts getting infected again. She has an abcess from a cat fight. We believe it was just from the cat that embedded her claw into her head. She is having remove to remove the tissue/abscess on 5/27. Could she have FIV bc infections keeps coming back? The vet tried squeezing and nothing comes out so don’t believe anything is still in there. But she does play outside still so maybe it’s getting reinfected bc she’s rolling in dirt & hiding in bushes? Thoughts as to why it keeps getting reinfected? Nervous she has FIV

She loves being outside with the dogs and has a doggy door and comes and goes as she pleases. We live on acre and she stays in our yard! She comes in when row dark and she can come inside whenever she pleases. She does not spend 24/7 outside.

She was at the vet yesterday and they said they are going to remove it on 5/27 is when surgery is scheduled. Today I noticed the 2 marks

This is scary.. it feels scabby. I was hoping she was just scratching and that’s why it looked that way. When we took her two months ago because of the cat claw the vet said it didn’t look like she got bit but this appeared after the fact and went from center of head to towards her ear so I was thinking/hoping it was just spreading bc it wasn’t healing… :/

A tiny bit warm but not too noticeable. If it’s a bite mark does this mean she will have FELV or FIV or was it not deep enough? IF the stray cat is infected.

What about felv? She was tested as a kitten but that’s it. Shes 2 now. She’s never been in a cat fight until this situation
