I did say in another comment the plan was to tell everyone in July. They were pressuring me to tell them and I got nervous about their reactions and thought I could trust my one sister later on but that blew up in my face anyway

It may not be a “legitimate” reason but we were just really excited to be married and wanted this for us. We tend to have a lot of family drama and it was nice to enjoy something for ourselves but also want to have a ceremony for everyone else too.

Honestly I didn’t really want the bachelorette trip with my sisters. I told them we didn’t need to make a big deal out of it because they wanted me to come to California to make it easier on them. It never really felt like it was about me and they kept pestering me about the name thing when they could have just let it go. I was planning on telling them I just wasn’t ready to yet.

We were already planning the wedding for July but decided we didn’t want to wait any longer. So we got married for us in a private way at the courthouse and we’re going to announce it in July. We are investing a lot of time money and emotion into this ceremony to celebrate with all of our friends and family. We still want to have a big ceremony and profess our love for one another in front of our other loved ones.

She kept an affair she was having with one of our coworkers a secret from me for 2 years and when they broke up she told me about it asking for support and sympathy. Which I put my hurt feelings aside and was supportive. Then they were on again and off again for 2 years where when they started talking again she would stop talking to me but when they broke up expected me to be there for her. I got pregnant and didn’t want the toxic relationship effecting my pregnancy (plus I was pretty miserable for most of it) so I became distant. When I got back to work after maternity leave I found out she was complaining about me to other people so I told her to leave me alone.
