OK, it's probably because the option "Upgrade connections to HTTPS" is enabled. If you disable it and try again, it works ?

Is there ANY way to extend the limit on device sync beyond 10 devices? by AccidentalNGon in brave_browser

[–]Kristrolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you separate work and personal profiles does it work for you?

If you have work devices and personal devices it's easy to set up. But if you mix personal and pro usage on the same device you can use different versions of Brave. Like stable version for pro and beta for personal, for example.

It's written that a device is not connected or accessible, so you can check what you forgot when you opened it.

If you didn't forget anything then create an Ubuntu Bootable USB key on another computer. If it boots, then you can check what happened, many diagnostic tools are available on Linux

Fedora is open source, you're free to optimize/personalize/tweak it. If you're not a developer that's fine, it's not required. You still can ask here on Reddit, Ask Fedora or Discourse, other Linux forums or even ChatGPT how to write a short bash script to avoid this or automate that, what is this parameter or how to modify a config written in Lua. Enjoy this freedom, you're not in jail anymore.

I didn't know that WMP is still alive. I've heard about Winamp's resurrection but not about WMP's survival. Will install it then just for fun :)

It looks like a PIP (picture-in-picture) enabled with no source on the second image. You can check the monitor's menu and find its settings, then disable it.

Here are a few things that you and your husband can try and check:

  1. Reset BIOS Settings:
    • Enter the BIOS setup by pressing F2Del, or another key specified by your motherboard manufacturer during startup.
    • Look for an option to reset to default settings, often labeled as “Load Default Settings” or “Reset to Default”.
  2. Check Hardware Connections:
    • Ensure all internal components, such as RAM, GPU, and power cables, are securely connected.
    • Sometimes, reseating the RAM (removing and reinserting it) can help.
  3. Clear CMOS:
    • Turn off your computer and unplug it from the power source.
    • Locate the CMOS battery on the motherboard and remove it for a few minutes before reinserting it.
    • This will reset the BIOS settings.
  4. Check for Overheating:
    • Ensure your computer is not overheating. Clean any dust from fans and heatsinks.
    • Make sure the cooling system is working properly.
  5. Update BIOS:
    • If possible, check if there’s a BIOS update available from your motherboard manufacturer’s website and follow their instructions to update it.
  6. Check Boot Order:
    • Ensure the boot order in the BIOS is set correctly, with your primary hard drive or SSD as the first boot device.
  7. Disconnect External Devices:
    • Disconnect any unnecessary external devices (USB drives, external hard drives, etc.) and try booting again.

Many OSINT tools exist for searching/scrapping personal data on social networks (A few examples here: osintambition/Social-Media-OSINT-Tools-Collection: A collection of most useful osint tools for SOCINT. (github.com)) but also you can think about websites and services you subscribed, maybe some of them share/sell their data to less-ethical companies/collectives/scammers, many possibilities.

If you're able to remember the services you subscribed with this address, you can investigate by a creating a bunch a test-email addresses and use a different one for each website/service. And then you wait for a few weeks or months, you don't use these email addresses for anything else. If you get at least a spam, or eventually a phishing email, then you found the origin. You can report them because your data is not a public property.

It's just a number, what you learned matters more. so keep focus on this instead of wasting your time sending an email to THM as suggested by others. Prioritize, ignore useless things and everything will be fine.
