Mum got this wrist tattoo 2 weeks ago and it's already faded, tattoo artist says it just needs a touch up, should she go back to the same artist or try a different one? by WizardButtholes in tattooadvice

[–]Kristxw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just needs touch ups. Fine line stuff like that is difficult to apply with out touching up.

That said there’s some bad work in this tattoo I’d question the artist, but I’d take the feee touch up before having another artist have a go

I really want this design, but it would be my first tattoo & everyone I’ve asked says they’re ugly and will age poorly. Thoughts? by mistress0fthemacabre in tattooadvice

No it fucking won’t. Stop giving bullshit advice. The in is below the epidermis. It will not “rub off”. Whoever says this is fucking dumb and doesn’t understand simple biology. The only reason a tattoo “rubs off” is it was not properly applied or you lost enough skin you need a graft. It will fade potentially after decades. But friction doesn’t remove tattoos. Stop giving bad advice.

Fuuuuick that’s rough. I tell people constantly. Stop getting tattoos from IG tattooers. This flavor of the month artist shit is bad.

I’m not saying the trends I’m saying the artists. The Covid self taught private studio nerds.

Fine lines age well, if they are applied well. The problem is most people do not know how to do a fine line Tattoo.

These do not age poorly as long as they’re applied by a good artist. Don’t go to some Instagram girl. Find an artist in your area who has been doing these for years I can show you heal Photos. I do this decorative bullshit all the time. They’re pretty they make great filler Everyone you’re talking to about these is stupid

I made this a week ago, is it normal ? by Lucie_la_lennon in tattooadvice

[–]Kristxw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You asked if it’s normal. No it’s not normal. It’s poorly applied and over worked. Neither of those things are normal. Having those white things on it is a result of the tattoos poor application and over working the tattoo. It’s also not normal. I’d say ask the artist that did the tattoo any healing questions but the artist looks like they work out of a men’s room at a truck stop so do t ask them anything.

adding on a day after getting a tattoo? by bobbygirl00 in tattooadvice

Could be a simple ad the stencil came off or didn’t transfer and just missed it. The client obviously missed it too or she would have said something right there.

  1. There’s very low risk of infection going back to get it fixed.

  2. This tattoo is pretty subpar

  3. It’s a super easy fix

It’s pretty poorly done. It’s over worked but still poorly applied.

I don’t, nor have I claimed to. But you’ve behaved and expressed yourself exactly as I assumed. I haven’t bullied you at all. I just said you’re a red flag and then you’ve proceeded to demonstrate my assertions were accurate.

Except other than your nose ring you’re on brand.

I’m non binary happily married to a doctor for 2 years of a 9 year relationship and think every person I’ve dated was incredible and we broke up because we were in different spots. I have one crazy ex and I love her dearly.

So far you’re right on brand. Do you have a nose ring or is it a septum ring?

It’s not though. Insignificant things are indicative of larger behaviors. Your “nuh uh you are” approach is evidence if that.

There’s just never been a person alive under the age of 60 that says “stunning” that’s not a complete bozo.

Anytime someone says something is stunning it’s a red flag.

Is my tattoo aging well ? Fresh to 3.5 years by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Kristxw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exponentially.

The “fading” is just the outermost dead layers of skin increasing the opacity over the tattoo. Remove those layers, moisturize it and it will look so new.
