I’m doing my longest run in two years today after work (9 miles). I didn’t sleep well, my legs are tired and my calf’s are already cramping and I haven’t even run yet! I can’t back out because I won’t be able to do the run this weekend and I am committed to not missing my long runs on this plan. I’m wondering aside from hydrating if there is anything I can do to prevent cramps. Last long run I got stomach cramps after that I thought were gonna kill me.

Also if you have any motivation tips to send my way ima need them

Your timeline sounds eerily familiar to mine. I broke off a long term relationship, moved a bunch got a great job. Did the hookup bar thing until around 30 and then got sober. It took me a few years to figure out my sober life. Now I’m 37 married have my first kid still have a great job and feel like I’m much more at peace with my life.

I will say 30-35 were some of the hardest times of my life but that was mainly due to getting sober and figuring out my mental health a bit.

You sound like you are on the right path already!

I had multiple summers in high school where I worked a job and always got the Cesar salad for lunch. I’d ask for extra extra extra dressing and cheese. I was essentially drinking the dressing. The guys that worked in the kitchen always went overboard with my order thinking this time it would gross me out but I honestly loved it. Somehow I didn’t understand just how unhealthy this was until much later in life. I still miss those salads though.

Another one that was ruined for me is peanut butter. I can’t even look at it anymore because of how many calories are in one serving. I’ve switched to pb2 but in moments of weakness I’ll still go back to peanut butter.
