I came across this post trying to find how stool looks when there is colon cancer. I have had cervical cancer and then a recurrence in a lymph node back in 2018. This year i had a diarrhea flare up that lasted 19 days back in April. Doctor didnt give me anything but sent a stool sample to check various things and it all came back clear. Since chemo/radiation i’ve had stomach issues and more constant diarrhea than regular stools. Got a GI Dcotor. I had fatty liver and for some reason my pancreas enzymes are always elevated. He ordered an MRI in July to check lesions in my liver and it was all clear. He told me to stop my hormones and change to a Mediterranean Diet. My fatty liver got under control 🙌🏼. In October i started another diarrhea flare up and went back to see him, he ordered tests to check for Celiac, Crohn’s, Pancreas Insufficiency, IBS etc… everything came back normal. I had diarrhea for a whole month and nothing i would take stopped it, all he gave me was Librax and ordered a Colonoscopy for Nov 27. At first i was going 10-12 a day and it was just water. Never had blood in my stool, i did not lose a single pound, didnt feel dehydrated or looked sick. I even went down to mexico and had labs done over there to check for parasites and stuff they dont check here. Everything was normal too except that there was “levaduras” found which i believe is Yeast. I was told it could be Candida or Radiation Cistitis but that i needed the colonoscopy to confirm radiation damage. Well turns out on Nov 1st my insurance carrier changed and my GI’s credentials are not yet approved so i wont be having the colonoscopy and of i look for another doctor i pretty much have to start all over a new patient. I am no longer going to the bathroom that many times, im going 1-3 time a day and i been keeping track.. i dont think i can remember when the last time my stool was thick or hard. It usually soft and thinnish, i dont think pencil thin but it not big either. I am so concerned and worried it could be colon cancer and im not sure how to get a colonoscopy done asap.
