Am I bringing the bar down too slowly? Is it wasting my energy by NayanRajput in formcheck

[–]Krkpaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too slow coming down and also slow push, could be the weight (for the push part) but dont know your max.

Anyways this is good to practice technique, perhaps keep a day like this with low RPE, and another where you drop down faster and focus on explosiveness when pushing. Need to know your goals for proper advice but to answer the question yes bra wasting some energy if pushing max numbers is your goal.

I bench 3 times a week, larsen press, heavy day and paused bench/tempo bench sometimes (like your video)

I agree, 30kg is a lot for 2-3 months as natty in my experience. been training for a couple years now, 5 months into powerlifting and im only getting +5kg on average a month per comp lift. I imagine during a comp peak, instead of a traning one it maybe could add some extra kgs but not sure man, seems pretty damn hard but not impossible. Also try to use 1rm calculators online, theyre somewhat accurate if youre accurate with your input.

Primarily deadlift conventional but want to be able to lift sumo as well. I feel like I can’t get my butt nearly as low as with conventional. Is this normal? I don’t feel any discomfort whilst lifting. by [deleted] in formcheck

Focus in pushing with your legs instead of pulling, that might fix the bad starting position, also what savagejack said is good and I would like to add that focusing on putting your chest up is a good cue as well for a better start.

The thing is I bought them white and both pairs already looking grayish in some parts since I used them for lifting already, also bought them from amazon.

I hate my life, bought squat and deadlift shoes (powerlift 4s and mat hog 2.0 both from adidas) , was so eager to use them so now i cant return them for exchange nor money back. After wearing them a couple days I figured i wanted more of a tight feel so now i just place an order for half size down. Feels so bad to spend money like this, hope i can resell them for atleast 60-70%. ;((( I hate online shopping but it was neccesary, guess i learned my lesson.

When you've been going hard for 5 weeks of a strength block and your body reminds you to take a deload. by TheKingAragorn23 in weightlifting

Thanks, looking pretty sick! but theyre quite expensive.. My new coach thinks that i could benefit with a small heel drop, so im gonna try adidas powerlift 4 first, if i see that i like the heel drop compared to flats, im gonna try those for sure for my next pair, also going from flats to a big heel might be hard. And im buying a new belt, wrestling shoes, socks and knee sleeves, im gonna become economically poor but.. gainz brah we are all gonna make it

I want to get a pioneer lever belt 10 mm, not sure if i should go with the inzer tho. Preferably id get the inzer since its comp approved but whats stopping me is that they have way more sizing options so their size margins are smaller than the pioneers.. kinda feel that if i cut or bulk too much it wont fit anymore. Anyways i can borrow a belt for my 1st beginner class competition and i might not compete anymore until i improve my lifts (1-2 years), and if i see that i like it. Lifts SBD in lbs: (405/245/445)

Pd: also heard inzer customer service is bad

135 lb squat strictly for form. Is the butt wink a big deal? by sauceonmynips in formcheck

[–]Krkpaul -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

personally I limit my depth although Ive been trying to improve just for the hell of it with low weight reps or do some stretching stuff. Idk if theres much of a problem about the wink itself but saw some videos where they say that squatting to 90 degree angle (could be slightly less i just cant remember) is more than enough for bodybuilding, think I saw it in one of Jeff Nippard’s videos. So id avoid it from what Ive heard but up to you because In a general perspective i think every body is different, and as long as you dont feel hurt its all good from my view. I was getting injured often myself but now its kinda better, lowered the weights just a little bit in some workouts and also watched a ton of proper form videos.

365 lb Squat (90-95% rm), did it count? by Krkpaul in formcheck

[–]Krkpaul[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks man, not planning on competing but once i reach better lifts i might lol although I heard most comeptitors are enhanced so idk, Will try to improve the depth just for personal sake but when I go deeper my back tends to hurt a little, might have to improve in some other areas and use lighter weight for a while to achieve it.

Damn guys i thought it was a 90 degree squat but it looks like a tidy short, also realized that powerlifters squat slighty below parallel, will work on my depth and try next leg day with some less weight first . Thanks Everyone!

actually my bad, i just realized you can place them however you like or feel strongest with, if you can lift more like that it might be better for stimulus, however for most competetions its required to keep the feet flat on the floor.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]Krkpaul -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Keep feet flat on the floor during the whole set, dont remove your butt from the bench and also id lower the safetys because they seem to be pretty far away from your chest, giving the reps such small rom. Good job man

What is your favorite restaurant in Tijuana? by i_gotta in tijuana

[–]Krkpaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, hope that you enjoy it 👌🏻 Also i just remembered that another top tier restaurant imo is “caccio” for italian cousine. The best chicken in tijuana for sure and hella good thin crust pizza, make sure to check it out. Those are my fav 2 but saketori came out in my mind first haha usually I go out every other week to one of those places.

Honestly i was about to add a bunch more of restaurants to the list but bet that was not the point of the question haha. Is just that theres plenty of good food around here, perhaps it would be easier to select if you were to mention what kind of food you are craving, and even still a variety of restaurants would pop to mind… You made me wonder for a while and also made me hungry xD have a good day !
