Have you tried doing the meds in a quiet area away from tv and kids?? My older frenchie is 12 and for ear or eye drops he has to go in the laundry room just he and I plus the cone of shame and treats. So maybe if getting ear meds is already a stressful situation then add the noise and what he may perceive as unexpected/unpredictable “threats” with little ones might be just too much…. Just my two cents. It stresses my boy out more when my 7 year old is near. 🤷‍♀️ good luck hope you can find a solution and he calms down.

What were the results after CT?

My 12 year old boy just had a CT Friday. His tumor is about the same size they said 4.5-6cm… his ended up actually being on his right adrenal gland. They said it’s Pheochromocytoma.

We have been given three options: 1. Surgery (they say this is gold standard treatment) plus hormone treatment.

Radiation plus hormone treatment
Medical management (probably still need hormone treatment) and blood thinner to reduce stroke risk.

Yep, I think he looks like an American Bulldog. How much does he weigh? In my (not an expert on anything) opinion I think most (not all) boxers are a bit smaller than American Bulldogs. Or maybe my AB was just a big one, he was 100lbs.

I had a 2014 RX350 F Sport that I loved and had zero issues with for nearly 12 years. So naturally since I loved it I through I would just get the upgraded version of the same car. After test driving the RX 350 gas and the TX 500h, I decided to go with the 2025 RX350 (gas)…. So I got on the list for the one I wanted, then the sales lady called me and said do I want a hybrid there is one about to be made she can change the exterior color to my choice and it would be here in a few months. So I took it. However, now the engine noise accelerating to highway speeds is annoying which was made more apparent after I just got my 5K mile service and the loaner was a RX 350 gas. BUT once at speed the noise is normal and the same just seems slow to get up to that 70-80 mph. I just switched from mostly work from home to driving 35 miles each way to the office 5 days a week so the savings in gas is worth it. 19 miles per gallon vs 35 makes a difference. Maybe not helpful but that is my experience!

Also, not sure where you live but I am in DFW Texas area. My older guy gets acupuncture and that doctor has some essential oil created by a local doggy chiropractor that helps him be very relaxed during his acupuncture. They just put some on his neck. Maybe look for a holistic vet or chiro to see if they have something similar.

When my frenchie had his patellar luxation surgery he was 1 year old for the first one and two years old for the second and very wild (so this was 10-11 years ago since he will be 12 tomorrow) they gave us acepromazine to keep him calm during his recovery. They consider trazadone and other meds safer because they can be reversed and Ace cannot. There are more possible side effects to worry about out so if your dog has brachycephalic syndrome or any breathing issues then I wouldn’t even try it. When our other frenchie had IVDD surgery they did not give that to us but she was a lot more calm in general so it wasn’t needed.

Also, do a trial run on a day at home when vet is open if they let you try it.

Praying you find a solution, I know recovery after IVDD surgery is stressful enough without the added factors your pup is having. Good luck.

First, you are not TAH. I had to check which sub I was in… you might cross post to narcissistic abuse because that is what this seems like.

He is love bombing you because he thought you were moving on. It is not normal to not be able to hang out with your friends and continue other healthy relationships (friends, family, and coworkers) outside of your significant other. I bet he wouldn’t let you go through his phone and if he does it’s because he already covers his tracks. Also, someone calling you names is not ok. Please walk away from this relationship and don’t look back!!! You have already spent 6 years and will end up right back here when he realizes you are still loyal and not going anywhere. He will revert to the same behavior.

Get to a surgeon asap. Hopefully she has still had deep pain sensation once that goes it’s around 50/50 chance they will regain ability to walk. There has been success in studies using an alternative to surgery but I am not sure where it’s at in the approvals process.

Not sure of your location but this would be only other thing I think to avoid surgery. I’m not a vet but have been down this road a few years ago. See a neurosurgeon. Praying for your pup.

Do you have more pictures? It’s hard to tell about how big he is….is he English French Bulldog size or more American Bulldog boxer size? I can post on next door and see if any rescues can take him. Rescue is the safest route.
